Trinkets for Teens is a program designed by Laura Hayes and Laura Quintana for their Girl Scout Gold Award Project. The program's purpose is to provide gifts for underprivilged teens around Christmas time. The last few years, at the annual Toys for Tots drive, there was a lack of items donated that fit into a teenage category. This project was made in recognition of that shortage. As of Decemeber 18, 2004, that all changed. The positive response from the Land O' Lakes, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel community exceeded even the Laura's expectations. Bob Loring, Head Elf of Toys for Tots, said, "That's great, but what can you do next year." Laura and Laura are already KEEPING THE SPIRIT ALIVE IN 2005. .

Thank You to everyone's continued supprt of this project. The LOLHS National Honor Society will be doing most of the project next year. We hope that we can get the Z-Hills and Pasco NHS's to do the same. In 2005, we are going to help teens in all of East Pasco.
