March 9, 2001 - "The strike is finally over," a triumphant Ray Hall exclaims with exaggerated excitement. The six week dispute between Ray & Rico and their staff has come to screaching, yet exhuberant halt. This disappointing, but entertaining picket commenced after the staff requested for paid parking at the Ray & Rico dot com headquarters in Walnut Creek. When their request had been denied, they refused to go to work. The temps that temporarily replaced the original staff did absolutely nothing to increase traffic to rayandrico.com, therefore quickly ending their legacy.
Ray & Rico finally found a conclusion to the strike. They decided it would be appropriate for all parties involved. Instead of paying for the parking, they privately sold all their employee's cars, therefore ending the need for free parking. The employees now travel on BART to the Walnut Creek office. Those who would like to visit them, please feel free at 500 Ygnacio Valley Road. In a recent final interview, Rico stated, "I always knew that if we got rid of their cars, they would have to work to get new ones." All staff members now work without complaint.
