The Green Party

We will start by giving you the Green Party Statement of Purpose as seen in the California Voter Information Guide:

Green Party states:
"The Green Party's core values include social and economic justice, ecological wisdom, nonviolence, and grassroots democracy.
We support:
~Living wages, safe workplaces, and the right to organize unions.
~Strong local economies and an end to corporate welfare.
~Universal health care, including alternative methods and mental health.
~Protection of reproductive freedom.
~Higher taxes on pollution and large corporations, lower taxes on working people.
~More funding for education, while allowing schools to try new ideas.
~Ending unfair global trade laws.
~Equal rights for people of all races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, national origins, and economic backgrounds.
~Ending attacks on the poor and immigrants through so-called welfare reform.
~Stronger regulations for clean air and water and protection of endangered species, and eliminating toxic and cancer-causing chemicals.
~More mass transit and bicycle access.
~Increasing renewable energy and ending nuclear power, coal, and big dams as energy sources.
~Organic and family farms.
~Crime prevention - promote education, job opportunities, and non-violent problem solving. Treat addiction as a health issue. No new prisons.
~Abolishing the death penalty.
~Use of internet for free speech and information distribution.
~Campaign finance reform and proportional representation.
~The right of all to participate fully in democratic processes."

Here are our thoughts on the Green Party:
Ray and Rico state:"OK, so you want grassroot democracy. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this nation has democracy. Oh, so you also support safe work places? Not sure if you know, but there is this little organization known as OSHA. What is their main focus? How about safe work places. Come on guys, try supporting a gracious cause. Geez! Moving on...you need to be clear in what you are saying. You Greens stated that you protect reproductive freedom. CLARIFY! Do you protect the people from that freedom, or protect that right? Explain, this is too big of an issue to be so skeptical about it. Another big issue, education. So you think that school should try new ideas. Are they currently trying old ones. There is so much study and research that goes into the basis of school curriculum. If we just let them try new things, we would get no where.
Oh, now you're talking. You want equal rights for people of all races, religion, genders, blah blah blah. Maybe we are a few decades behind the times, but I think we have this also. In the workplace, there is a zero tolerance for discrimination for the above reasons. So far, you are making no sense. Now, this is the real joke. We quote, "More mass transit and bicycle access." Question! Are we talking about a political party here, or a high school party? You want more freakin' bike lanes? OK, so as this nation grows, and more people get on the roads, you want to cause traffic jams because of a stupid bike lane. How about electric cars, or solor powered cars. WAIT, we already have that too. We are getting no where so far.
As the whining continues, you want "organic and family farms." I don't think there are many people who don't support this. The reality is that families are selling their farms and land to the government for huge sums of money. We don't see how you are going to stop that. As the government, what are you going to do? Not offer money to them to move. Are you going to stop building? Wow, who needs more houses, when you can have homeless people sleeping on organic land? DAMN!
Crime Prevention? Everyone can agree that crime prevention is a concern in this nation. But when you say no new prisons, you are kidding yourself. First of all, you cannot abolish the death penalty. Have you ever read the bible. It is biblical. Eye for an eye. If you think you can abolish the death penalty AND stop building prisons, where are the criminals going to be? Oh, that's right, on organic land with the homeless. Face it, the death penalty is here to stay and is absolutely necessary in today's society.
Finally, you support use of the internet for free speech and information distribution. What the hell is it used for now? Isn't the internet called the "Information Highway?" Thought so! Thanks to the internet, we can express free speech here on rayandrico.com and distribute information about the B.S. beliefs of the Greens.
As far as the Greens go, that is where we are going to stop. If you have any concerns, talk to the Greens, because we cannot explain these guys."
