HALIFAX - All 19 episodes of Rick Mercer's television satire, Made in Canada have been sold to American Public Television to be distributed to PBS member stations.
Made in Canada is a wicked send-up of the television production industry. It was created by and stars Rick Mercer. He plays Richard Strong, a ruthlessly ambitious young executive at a fictional production company, Pyramid Productions.
The series co-stars Leah Pinsent (More Tears), Peter Keleghan (The Newsroom), Dan Lett (Wind At My Back), Ron James, Emily Hampshire, Janet Kidder and Jackie Torrens.
Made in Canada is now in its second season on CBC. The show will air under its original title The Industry.
