Major Duncan Heyward is the character played by Steven Waddington in the 1992 Adventure movie, Last of the Mohicans, which was based on the book by James Fenimore Cooper.
Major Heyward was to escort Colonel Munro's daughters, Cora and Alice, from Fort Edward to Fort to Fort William Henry, to be with their father. Unfamiliar with the landscape, the colonial lifestyle and the Native American ways, Duncan has a difficult time of it.
Major Heyward is honorable and demonstrates constant integrity and a well-meaning nature.
When Duncan realizes that the woman he has his heart set on loves another, he offers the ultimate sacrifice. (You will have to watch the movie to see what that means exactly, I would not want to give the story away totally.)
This was a very good performance Steven, I felt a bit sad for Duncan, he was such a gentleman. You did an excellent job with this role.
