The remarkable Colin Firth, a fine British actor who really did a smashing job as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. The stern look that Colin maintained during this film made me smile. I can not imagine how anyone could keep that look on their face for so long.
Colin is a charming British actor who gave strong intelligent performances in VALMONT and PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Although Colin has done many more films, these two remain my favorite example of his work.
In THE ADVOCATE, a movie set in 1452 France, Colin portrays a crusading advocate Richard Courtois who takes on a case of child murder, defending the pig charged with the crime. Medieval law allowed animals to be tried and executed. The unusual theme of this movie make it interesting to watch.
Valmont
The movie VALMONT, was set in 18th century France. Colin plays and irresistable seducer, a charming, witty and funny Count. Colin brought a different more believable rogue to life in his role as Valmont.
