Hello! This fan page was started on November 9, 2000. I first saw John Larroquette on Night Court. He played the Assistant District Attorney Dan Fielding and was always getting in trouble trying to find the perfect date. It kind of reminded me of Three's Company when Jack Tripper was always getting in trouble with his landlord or his two roommates Chrissy and Janet. I also saw John on "Star Trek III: The Search For Spock" as a Klingon. Even under all that makeup, his comedic talent came through. His Klingon character was named Maltz and Captain Kirk tricked him into beaming him up from the Genesis planet that was self-destructing. Once on the Klingon ship, Maltz as a typical Klingon who values honor above all else said:
Maltz: I don't deserve to live.Note: You can read more about Maltz in Genesis Wave I & II from Pocket Books. But the best part I saw John Larroquette in, was in the NBC miniseries "The 10th Kingdom." He played Tony, a janitor from New York, who had to raise his daughter on his own after his wife left him. He lived a humdrum life and constantly had to "bend over and take it" from his landlord/boss who ordered him around like a slave. His daughter, Virginia, played by Kimberly Williams lived with him and worked as a waitress. She also was tired of her too quiet life and was waiting for someone to sweep her off her feet and go into the restaurant business. But like Forrest Gump's mother would tell her son, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." You certainly don't expect to run into a dog that's really a prince, and get threatened to be turned into a pair of shoes by three trolls, or asked on a date by a half-wolf who almost ate your grandmother and threatened you with a meat cleaver, or travel to another dimension where fairy tales are real? Did You Know? John Larroquette and his wife Elizabeth were married on July 4th, 1975. They first met when they were doing a play together called "Enter Laughing" at the Colony Theatre. John said of his marrying her, " . . . it was my big joke on the British."
