John Kubicek: "And now, there was a lot of cast shakeup with this new season. I want to ask, because one of the big names coming in is John Larroquette, who a lot of people know worked famously with David E. Kelley, he won an Emmy for The Practice. So what is he like on the set?"
Christian Clemenson: "He's kind of amazing. I mean first of all, he's brilliant, and he's great to talk to. One of the great things about the show which the audience sees sometimes, is that he's sitting around and chatting with the other actors on the show, it's so much fun. I mean, Stader and Shatner and Larroquette are just so charming and so funny and so smart.
The conversations waiting to film are often as good as what we actually get to film, and you know what we get to film is great, so the conversations are very good. It's kind of amazing. We did a scene last week where there were five of us seated around the table. It was John Larroquette who has five Emmy Awards, Candice Bergen who has five Emmy Awards, William Shatner who has two, James Spader has two, and me, I have one. It was like, what other television show has that sort of actor power, sitting around the table doing a scene together?"

From a Hollywood Spotlight Live Chat Transcript with Julie Benz who portrayed Breeze O'Rourke on "Payne" series.
YokelCletus asks "Is it difficult to keep a straight face when acting opposite John Larroquette? wacky fun must be had! :)"
JulieBenz says "Yeah, it is a lot of fun but he is also a very very intelligent man and that can be scary. He is very funny. He knows everything. Yeah, he knows all the origins of words. He knows too much information. It is a little intimidating. He actually inspired me to read better books."

New Orleans City Lifestyle Magazine Online - Interview with Harry Anderson by Russell McCulley
Q :What do you think made "Night Court" so popular?
A :John Larroquette. John on "Night Court" was like Don Knotts on "Andy of Mayberry."
Q : John Larroquette. What’s it been like working with him?
SC : He’s amazing. He’s hysterical. I’ve literally fallen down on the floor, laughing so hard at something that he says. But at the same time I find him extremely skilled. He’s so intelligent, the way he analyzes a scene, the way he knows precisely how it fits into what’s gone before and what’s coming after. His timing is impeccable. I’ve never seen an actor with timing as acute as his. I’ve learned an enormous amount, watching him work.
KW : Did I tell you I saw him eat a spider the other day? He denies it, but I’m sure I saw him do it! He’s wonderful. He’s been like a dad to me during this filming adventure. He’s very protective and he looks out for me, which I really appreciate. As Scott said, he’s also a lot of fun, and keeps us laughing endlessly.
