For those of you who don't know, Kevin is a founding member of the amazing comedy troupe The Kids in the Hall. He is their soul, the one with the high-pitched voice, amazing 'fro and beautiful baby-blue eyes. His most famous characters include Sir Simon Milligan, Dean the King of Empty Promises, Jerry Sizzler and, of course, himself. Kevin is a terrificly funny actor/comedian and writer with ties to Second City, Saturday Night Live, National Lampoon's, MadTV and the Martin Short Show.

Lucky Kevin fans in the Portland, Oregon area can catch the final Santo ad debuting this week during Monday Night Football and the Season premiere of "Friends." The rest of us can drool over an adorable little teaser on the Santo site. Wonderful Kevin physical comedy abounds. Also, super-good news for Kevin and KitH fans--a DVD of the Kids' live performance in Vacouver this past spring is set to be released in the US for purchase on November 19th. It will include the full show performance, plus backstage footage and a featurette. Pre-order today! Yet again, two more Santo ads up on the Scott Thomason ad site (see below for link). Also, in the issue of Entertainment Weekly for the week of August 23-30, there's a small Kevin mention on page 145. It reads, as follows in the "What to Surf" section by Mandi Bierly: Put Kid in the Hall Kevin McDonald on a car lot, and you'll get comedy. Get "Greg the Bunny" cocreator Spencer Chinoy to direct him and "Best in Show" cinematographer Roberto Schaefer to shoot him -- and you'll get commercials for a Portland, Ore., car dealership. The spots (still airing) follow the misadventures of Kevin's alter ego, Santo, as he helms the "Titanic" of car-dealership spots (cue the llama, MTV Jackass Ehren McGhehey, and, um, Tonya Harding). If we could just upgrade to include outtakes... A-Special thanks to Nicole for the info.
There's two new Santo ads up at the Scott Thomason ad site. Quite cute and funny, as usual. Remember that you need Quick-Time to view. (Thanks to Justine for the screen-grab.)
Some news in advance: "Lilo and Stitch 2," the sequel, is scheduled to be released straight to video summer of 2003, to be followed by a "Lilo and Stitch" animated tv series, which is supposed to begin airing in fall of 2003 on The Disney Channel. According to Disney, all original voice actors (that includes Kevin) are supposedly reprising their roles.
More news in advance: Dave Foley recently taped a Christmas special for the CBC entitled "The True Meaning of Christmas." Why is this important? Why, because our lovely Kevin appears in it, playing a variation on the ghost of Christmas Future. Look for it to air sometime this coming holiday season. Now's probably a good time to start sucking up to your Canadian friends with vcr's.
There's 3 new interviews from the 2002 Tour of Duty on the Articles, Interviews and Transcripts page. Check them out. There's an older article from the Brain Candy era just posted there, as well.
Come One, Come All! Kevin Day has finally arrived! Come visit the Third Annual Kevin H. McDonald Birthday Extravaganza!
Okay. Guess what. Kevin is Santo. Who is Santo? Why, just the greatest ad man of the 80's, who suffered a tragic nervous break-down in the 90's and is now trying to make his comeback in creating the Greatest Auto Commercial of All Time for the Scott Thomason Auto Dealership in Portland, Oregon. Read the back story and watch the ad's (they're actually really funny little mini-films featuring Kevin and KitH regular Deborah Theaker) at the official Santo Site . Note, Flash and Quick Time are required to view.
Kevin has fans in Argentina. I just found this site thanks to Justine of the Kids in the Hall 2000 site. Most of the pictures are nabbed off my site, but there's just something fabulously amusing about this. Maybe it's the INXS music, maybe it's the sparkly background. Maybe it's the Spanish captions underneath the pictures. My favorite? "Para las fanas de Kevin...es sexy!" Click HERE to see Kevin's Argentinian fansite.
Kevin's new film, the Disney animated flick "Lilo and Stitch" is opening June 21st. There's a neat little site set up for the film where you can view Kevin's character Pleakley and a description of both Kevin and Pleakley. Kevin is referred to as "wild-haired and hyper-kinetic." Lilo and Stitch
