JONATHAN ARKIN is an actor, director, writer, choreographer and teacher who divides his time between New York and California. Jonathan became an award-winning journalist while completing his dual studies in Cinema-Television Production and Journalism/News Media and Society at the University of Southern California - where he was Phi Theta Kappa and the founding president of the resurrected Theta Chi Fraternity's Beta Tau Chapter - and plans to return to USC for his thesis-based filmmaking efforts in 2008. Currently, however, he is finishing up his final year of academic studies at Columbia University, where he is working on his second play, 'The Piano Group.' He can be heard on WKCR-FM every Wednesday morning (follow link) and teaches an adult writing class at Columbia every Thursday morning. Recently, Jonathan became the artistic director of NetActors, an international new media company of actors. Their charter offering, Tony Verna's "Algebra One, Murder Two," is scheduled for a mid-2007 release.
He is the father of Sophia, who is in her ninth year. He drives a Scirocco and loves My and his Yankees. But he'll gladly go to an Angel or Dodger game. That's Jonathan.
