PLEASE, COME IN.
There were about eight of us, most being Irene Ryan Award nominees (my own nomination was for "Mark on Society"). It wasn't that cold, there was no snow til the last, glorious day of skiing, and there was lots and lots of great (and not-so-great) theatre. Your typical theatre festival!!! Held in Logan, Utah, about two hours north of Salt Lake City, the week began for me as I flew into SLC and had a fun dinner with friends Jung and Bong Ma. After several stiff cocktails, all I could say for the rest of the evening was "JUNG AND BONG MA." Carlos Penuela and his girlfriend, Stephanie (both castmates from "Alice") met up with us and we drove up to Logan.
The parties began almost immediately, but I had an English final to study for, so I deferred. Fun stuff, though, happened right outside my motel door on a nightly basis. Photos to come.
Long story short: a great week of theatre and networking, though the only notice Santa Monica College got was MY SCHOLARSHIP WIN to Fresno State (a result of my performance in the original play, "Stargazing" at the beautiful Morgan Theatre).
My Irene Ryan Award scene partner, David Moore, got his hotel right next to the theatre on campus. He and I did our best, but we were edged out for the award by some other actors. We did give it our best shot, though. Talented kid, is David Moore.

My scene partner and buddy, David Moore, hard at work studying the lines for our scene, outside the theatre.
The scene outside the audition room while we were doing our very loud and frenetic scene

VERY silly party next door to me. Nightly, it was the same old thing, over and over. Sort of like the run of a really crappy show.

The sun sets brilliantly on our week.
