Laurell K. Hamilton writes fantasy books. Her work features alternate histories and the supernatural. Incredible plotwork and kick-ass main characters make for a magical combination; action packed and powerful. Each book takes you higher and higher; you reach a point where you think "It can't get any better than this," but she makes it happen. I literally could not put a single one of her books down once I started reading. One of my very favorite authors; her work is highly enjoyable.
