Frequently Asked Questions
about the show...
A:It's a one hour music video show that features new music videos interspersed with "invisible" models appearing in between the videos.
A:Dennard Summers (the executive producer) had been a community producer at PCTV-21 since 1990 doing esoteric video works involving female models. (there was no nudity in any of the works) At the same time,he was starting a career as a freelance music writer. He had been a stringer for many newspapers, weeklies and fanzines before landing the co-music editor posistion at Post-Meridian:The Night Sentinel in Pittsburgh,Pa. The magazine underwent a period of reorgnization, but Dennard had amassed enough record label contacts to the point where he could start a music video show in Pittsburgh.
A:When Dennard became a producer at PCTV-21,he would usually contact local modeling agencies and selected beginner models. (as the budget didn't call for experienced models) Some of the models from the agencies didn't exactly pan out. Some of the models had bad attitudes. That prompted Dennard to exclusively use the internet and run notices in college newspapers. He recieved a better share of responses from co-ed models.
A:Twofold reason 1.When doing something this different, women seem to be more receptive to this than most men. Unless the male model was gay, straight men wouldn't cotton to taking a request to wear a speedo on TV from a straight male (of which Dennard is) 2. The female figure is more suited for "bluescreen" work than the male figure.
A:Rather than try and explain it verbatim on here,This Link will try and explain it all.
A:The show plays new rock, rock, rap, dance videos. The focus is on the stuff that MTV won't play because it doesn't fit what their playlist wants. The show features a considerable amount of videos from independent labels. We do play some major label acts as well. We have also played videos from independent artists (that have no major record label deal)
