Bob Crane Reviews

Here are some of the shows I have and my personal reviews of them.

E! True Hollywood Story:
Lots of great photos of Bob, his family, his career, and childhood. A lot of focus on the negative "Hollywood" stuff, but not as gorey as the other documentaries.

A&E Biography:
Informative. Great photos.

A&E Crime Files:
Segment dealing with the investigation itself. Detailed photos of the crime scene.

MSNBC - Crime Files:
Very gorey. The worst of the documentaries I've seen so far. Has some nice footage of interviews and outtakes, but hard to watch cos of all the detailed crime footage.

Superdad:
Totally worth it just to see Bob in those little shorts on the beach. Those shrieks are completely hilarious! And the scene with the painter guy was funny! Other than that, corny, but you can always count on Disney for that.

Password:
A thrill to see Bob acting like his true self. Cute when he gets nervous and some of the clues he gives are a riot!

The Bob Crane Show:
Seems like it has good potential. Bob is funny and totally makes the show. Reminds me of a Bob Newhart type of show. Dig those clothes!

Dick Van Dyke:
Goofy Bob. Young and cute. Worth it just for the conga drum scene.

Love American Style (Love And The Modern Wife):
Nice show. Bob looks cool trying to be cool in a bar and pick up a girl. Plays a good husband who's accused of cheating but hasn't and he lets his wife think he did so she'll believe him.

Love American Style (Love And The Waitress):
Bob tries to propose to a girl at dinner but his ex-wife keeps interrupting.

The Lesslie Uggams Show:
Bob plays the drums to a Beatles song. What more could you want? also features Larry Hovis, Werner Klemperer, Robert Clary and John Banner.

The Hollywood Palace:
Bob in a Hogan's Heroes sketch with the cast and he wears a tux and does a little singing. Worth sitting through the show just to see those parts.

The Wicked Dreams Of Paula Schultz:
Probably one of those movies that sits on the shelf collecting dust, but Bob was funny in it and you get to see him, John Banner, Werner Klemperer and Leon Askin acting together and the best part....they all dress in drag!

The Delphi Bureau:
Bob plays a rather scruffy baddie.

Return To Peyton Place:
A young Bob playing a small role as a side-kick to a talk show guy.

Doris Day Show:
Bob has a Tv show.

Night Gallery:
Bob and his wife stay at a haunted house with criminal happenings.

The Red Skelton Show:
Bob plays his drums to "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'" and does a magic trick with Red and John Banner.

Love Boat:
Bob plays a father who abandoned his wife and daughter and runs into his daughter on the boat.

The Lucy Show:
Bob plays himself and asks Lucy out, unaware that she's also a 'stuntman.' John Banner makes a quick appearance.

King Of The L.A. Airwaves:
Cd of Bob on his radio show with interviews, stories, jokes, drumming and a lot of fun.

Tattletales:
Several episodes. Bob says he loves Patti several times and looks very effectionate towards her in one episode. They often refer to each other as 'honey.'

Judith Regan FOX News:
Scotty Crane talks to Judith about his dad and The Faces Of Bob Crane book. Interviews by Werner Klemperer, Robert Clary and Victoria Berry.

Entertainment Magazine:
Scotty and Michelle Crane talk about their radio show, Scotty's dad, The Faces Of Bob Crane and other things.

Entertainment Tonight:
A look at the movie Auto Focus with interviews by Greg Kinnear and others.

(....More to come....)
