“Every successful mailing list has something in common,” Ezra spoke.
“What would that be?” Chris frowned at his co-presenter.
“It needs an Idea Machine. Somebody who not only has fresh and entertaining ideas, but has the wherewithal to carry those Ideas out” Ezra explained.
“Two BrigaDears have been nominated for this award,” Chris began, “The nominees for BrigaDear Idea Machine are Zia D & Dayna” he concluded
“The Winner of the Award for the Brig Idea Machine is Dayna,” Ezra read out.
Congrats Dayna....so, what have you got up your sleeve now? Cat asked

“I believe this Award speaks for itself Mr. Larabee,” Ezra spoke.
“What’s the awards Ezra?” Chris nodded.
“The BrigaDear most likely to procrastinate” he answered.
“The nominees are Erica, Maria V, Josey and Tammy” Chris read out.
Ezra merely looked at Chris, then opened the envelope. “The winner of the award for BrigaDear Most likely to Procrastinate is Erica” Ezra read.
LOL!! I can vouch for this! ::feels a peanut hit her in the back:: Hey! Maria laughedheehee!! I don't know whether I should be flattered or embarrassed! I know I
put things off, but I work better under pleasure...oh, I mean pressure! Only

"You need to go and accept the award, Hon." Michael said, nudging Erica
towards the stage.

::Casually walking on stage:: "Thanks to all of you who voted for me, I've
never won anything before. This is great, thanks again!"
Lady Viper you are a lifesaver and great taste in Gods. Sihn took a long sip from her flask and settled back in to watch more.
“As you are all no doubt aware, many of you are prone to THUD at the least provocation” Ezra watched his beloved Brigs.
“This award is for the person who is most liable to end up THUDing” Chris spoke before he read from the envelope “The nominees are Enid, Maria and Tammy”
“The winner of the Spirit award for the BrigaDear most likely to end up THUDing is Enid,” Ezra spoke as he opened the envelope.
"Someone pick Enid up off the floor....I'm sure Ezra's voice turned her into goo!" Cat shouts

‘It would appear that as bad boys we aren’t quite bad enough for some of my Dears,” Ezra spoke.
“Not bad enough,” Chris pondered. “How can that be?”
“Certain members of the BrigaDears are prone to spending their time in the THUMPer Room with the bad boys” Ezra answered.
“The nominees for the BrigaDear most likely to end up in THUMPer Room are Josey, Maria Villa, Tammy and Cecilia.”
Hot damn! Thanks! Josey squealed
WOOHOO! Alright Josey! (In reference to being Spirit Award winner for
"Most Likely to End Up in the THUMPer Room.) You go outlaw! LOL! Tammy smiled
Josey glanced over at Lt. Andy Tyler in shock, her hand flying to her mouth.
Then her face broke into a wide grin as she snatched the hat off his head,
placed it on her head, and threw her arms around him. Andy laughed as he
gave her a congratulatory kiss.
Josey jumped out of her seat, still wearing the Navy issue officers hat, and
scurried up the aisle to the stage where Chris Larabee waited to escort her
to the podium.
"Oh my God! This is awesome! Thank you all!!!! I'm so happy to have made
it to my second Awards ceremony, and I'm elated to still be in the company of
such a great bunch of gals! This means a lot to me! Hey, this means that I
get to go party with the bad boys tonight!!! Woo hoo!!!!! Thanks again,
everyone!!!"
“This next award has me a bit confused, Ezra,” Chris commented.
Ezra looked at it. “When a person joins a list, they must decide whether to participate or to lurk.” Ezra looks to the dark recesses of the auditorium, where the lurkers are sitting, mostly swathed in dark clothes so they can’t be seen. He flashes them a grin. “Some people immediately dive in…but then there are those who don’t just dive in….they dive off the high board, and really get involved. That is what an enthusiastic Newbie BrigaDear is. The nominees for most enthusiastic Newbie Brig are Sasha, Emily, Renee, Kathi, and Cecilia.”
Chris took the envelope from Ezra. “Thanks for the explanation.” Ezra flashed his smile as Chris tore the envelope. “And the most enthusiastic Newbie Brig is Sasha.”
With a squeal Sasha leapt from her seat, hugged her date and made her
way to the stage. She accepted a hug and kiss from both Ezra and
Chris, and made her way to the microphone.
'*ahem*. My God, this is just so unexpected. Um, okay, thankyous.
Firstly, a huge thankyou to Tessie Blume who sent me a copy of the
pilot episode. A lot of you know that we don't receive the show in
England, so I am eternally grateful to Tessie for converting her copy
into PAL format so I could finally get to see the pilot episode.
Without that, I might never have stumbled upon this list.
Secondly, thankyou to all the guys for putting together such a
wonderful show. I don;t know of that many other shows that have such
a huge fan following, and you bring joy to so many peoples lives.
Thirdly, thankyou to everyone on the list who made me feel so
welcome. When there's an atmosphere like that, you can't help but
jump straight in. Cat, Josey, Maria, God, the list is endless.
Especial thanks to Julia, my partner in crime. Um, I think that's it.

Ezra smiled. “While as a gentleman, I do not debase myself by engaging in menial labor, there is a lot that gets done by the members of the list.”
“But someone has to do it, right Ezra?” Chris asked.
“Precisely, Mr. Larabee. Some of the things that these BrigaDears do for the list include moderating, celebrating birthdays, organizing screenings of pictures, and organizing list activities. The nominees for most hardworking Brig are Cat, Enid, Suzy, Jilly, Dayna, and Pat.”
“Hand me the envelope, Ezra.”
“I want to read it.”
“No, I do.”
“Don’t make me shoot you.” Chris shot Ezra the patented Larabee Glare and Ezra handed over the envelope.
“They ARE my BrigaDears, you know that. Right Chris?”
Chris broke open the seal and looked over at Ezra. He waited until Ezra was at the stairs to provide escort. “The Most hardworking Brig is Suzy. And thanks for all that you do.”

Ezra looked at the next envelope. “I cannot believe this to be true. My BrigaDears are all eminently faithful to me!”
Chris looked to him. “What?”
“There is a category for the BrigaDear most likely to THUD over someone other than the General…than ME?!” Ezra was affronted.
“Ezra, just as many women come to admire these tight pants as they do to admire you.” Chris took off his jacket and turned around. Several BrigaDears THUDded. “See?”
“Yes well. The nominees are: - Enid, Tammy, LadyT and Maria”
Chris opened the envelope. “The BrigaDear most likely to THUD over someone other than the General is Enid.”

Chris whispered. “This is a most odd category. Silent and BrigaDear almost seem like oxymorons.”
Ezra nodded and also spoke silently. “None the less, we have regular members who are quiet, and this award it to celebrate our silent members.” Ezra looked at Chris. “At least they don’t cover us in chocolate sauce.”
Chris nodded as he read the names. “The nominees for Most Silent Brig are Jilly, Angie L, Nee, Leigh.”
Ezra took the envelope and opened it. He whispered. “The Most Silent Brig is Nee.”

Ezra smiled. “This category celebrates the ladies who keep me company when the rest of the BrigaDears are in the throws of heavenly slumber.”
Chris raised an eyebrow. “The nominees for Most Insomniac Brig are Suzy and Laura.”
Ezra opened the envelope. “The Most Insomniac Brig is Laura. Would you like some Ni-tol?”
"Sleep is highly over-rated." She took her award and accepted a hug and kiss
from both men. "Hey, what can I say? Nature had the hand in this one.... I
just decided to put it to good use by annoying the sleeping people in the
SBOTG."
Laura grinned as she saw people getting ready to leave. The awards,
unfortunately were drawing to a close.
"Speaking of sleeping...." She yawned briefly before smiling. "Oh, what the
hell. Just have my coffee ready in the morning. It's time to party!" With
that, she raced down back to her seat, anxious to see the rest of the show.
"Coffee, huh? So that's the problem.... I've been wondering." Laura jabbed
Methos with her elbow, not even bothering to look in his direction.
“Often times, we have new members join the list who haven’t had a chance yet to show off their ideas, or who are involved, but want to wait to see how the list operates before taking a lot on. But these BrigaDears have shown a great deal of list spirit in the short time they have been with us. That is the meaning behind the Newbie Brig of the Year award,” Ezra stated
Chris read the back of the envelope. “The nominees for Newbie Brig of the Year are Peaches, Julia and Renee.”
Ezra tore open the envelope. “The Newbie Brig of the Year is Renee. Congratulations, my Dear.”
Woohoo! Take a bow Renee!!!! Maria Cheered
RENEE!!! CONGRATULATIONS, Fellow Musteteer!!!! Erica called
{Still sitting in her seat}
"That's you, hon!" Patrick said, nudging her.
"OH MY GOD!!!!" Renee shouts, jumping out of her seat!
She turns and waves to all her friends, takes off her shoes so she doesn't
fall and practically runs down the isle. She takes the award from Ezra, and
plants a kiss firmly on his lips, turns, and does the same to Chris.
"Sorry, honey! That was a once in a lifetime thing, and I was taking
advantage of it!" She begins."Wow...Newbie Brig of the Year! Damn...I'm
speechless! Um..thanks to everyone who voted for me! I'd like to say howdy to
my buds, Maria V, Enid, Aislynn who couldn't be here tonight...but she's in
my heart..um...Erica, Suzy and Lyn who corrupted me, and convinced me to come
on over here! A big hello to my sis Sabrina, and my cohort Kathi.
Wow.....this is soo cool! Thanks everyone!"
“To assist us with the final two spirit awards we would like to call someone to the stage to assist us” Ezra smiled extending a hand of greeting toward the audience as he spoke “Cat Darling” he smiled “Could you assist us please?”
Cat stood and walked up the stairs to the stage, being met at the edge of the stage by Chris who extended a hand to her and led her to the podium
“As you are all aware” Ezra spoke “Cat is the reigning BrigaDear of the Year. I believe it is only fitting that she is here to pass the mantle to the person to whom we are about to bestow the title.”
“Cat” Chris asked “What would you be looking for in the BrigaDear of the Year?”
“That’s Easy Chris” Cat answered quickly “BrigaDear of the Year is to me the person who most reflects the spirit of the list. Willing to help when a project arises, willing to listen when there is a pard in need, willing to participate in list frivolity, basically someone who is there for her list sibs in a time of need and willing to pitch in wherever she is needed”
“The same could be said for the Junior BrigaDear as well?” Ezra asked
“That’s right, Ezra” Cat nodded. “But just by virtue of her age she is a Junior BrigaDear.”
“Well in that case,” Ezra smiled. “The nominations for Junior BrigaDear of the Year are Julia and Sasha.”
“And the winner is?” he handed the envelope to Cat.
“The Winner of Junior BrigaDear of the Year is Sasha.”
Hey!!! Way to go, bouncer-pard!!!! Josey called
Making her way up to the stage once more, Sasha enveloped Cat in a
HUGE hug, eyes welling up.
'Um, well, I already did the whole big thankyou thing so....Thankyou
to everyone who voted. I love you all!'
“This brings us to the final Spirit award of the evening” Chris spoke “The BrigaDear of the year Award”
“Do you have anything you would like to say in your final moments of your reign?”
“You simply cannot imagine the tears that were brought to my eyes last year when I was awarded this title, it was such a shock and an honor. This list has brought me such joy while I’ve been on it. The BrigaDears is a such a wonderful list of caring people….friends who listen, friends who share, friends who laugh, and friends who play. It is an honor to be on a list with people who would rather share and care than fight and fuss, who respect one another. The message I’d like to give to all of the BrigaDears is that I love this list and the compassion we show to one another. It has been an honor to be your BrigaDear of the Year for 1999.”
“Thank you Cat” he stated “The nominees for BrigaDear of the Year are Cat, Suzy, Laura, Enid, Maria V, Erica, Dayna, Jilly and Tammy” Ezra read from the back of the envelope

As the lights pan around the auditorium for the final time, Ezra strides onto the stage wearing his glorious red jacket carrying one final envelope in his hand.
“Ladies the time has come for the last award of the evening” he spoke a tinge of sadness in his voice “The Ezralian Site of the Year is perhaps the highest website award” he started to explain “Each nominee in each of the four website categories has been evaluated. As a result each of these sites has been awarded a score. Cat goes to the podium.
"Thank you. I don't know what more to say, this is such an honor. While
I'm up here, I'd like to congratulate Suzy for being named BrigaDear of the
Year, you truly deserve it. I'd also like to take a chance to thank all of
the people who spent time evaluating websites, graphics, fic, RPGS, and to
everyone who voted. Without you, these awards would not have come to pass.
And I'd like to thank Suzy for her dedication in planning the ceremony. She
has done such a wonderful job and spent a lot of hours of hard work.
"Thank you all for coming, for visiting my website. I love you!!!"
Cat rushes off stage.
“It is with great sadness I must announce that the awards have come to an end. Once again I would like to congratulate everyone on the BrigaDear’s Mailing List for another wonderful year of friendship and frolic’s in the SBOTG, even the DS residents have been well behaved” he laughed “It’s not often a mailing list comes along where the friendship is strong enough to override the petty wars that often happen in a gathering so large. For that if nothing else each and every member of the list should be proud,” Ezra paused. “That brings me to another point. I understand that there was a betting pool surrounding my attire for the evening. As you will have noticed, I have exhausted my wardrobe this evening, so I will leave it to you to sort out the pool,” he looked around the auditorium at the consternation on the faces of the offending Brigs. “For any of you who wish to party the night away, The Magnificent Seven Band will be playing in the Frolic Room as soon as the lights go down on the awards. Who knows we may eeven be able to coerce some of the guests into a song or two. All list members and their awards partners are welcome, indeed encouraged to attend and have some fun”
He started to walk off the stage and then turned back to the crowd “Before I leave I’m sure you would all like to join with me to wish Anthony Starke a wonderful birthday” he spoke and walked from the stage
*That concludes the festivities here this evening * Thank you and Good Night* the announcers voice spoke as the house lights came up.

Congrats again! Tammy stted as they started to file into the Frolic Room
Josey can't get to the THUMPer Room fast enough, award still in hand. She
sees Jimmy Shaker waiting outside and if looks could have killed...
"Would you mind telling me what the hell is going on???" he demands, unable
to move away from the door. Josey opens her arms and throws them around him,
pulling him in for a big, wet, sloppy kiss.
"Welcome to the THUMPer Room, Jimmy. This is where the bad boys stay. And
I'm the BrigaDear voted most likely to end up in the THUMPer Room. Come, let
me introduce you to some of the boys. Oh Willis! Angel! Deacon!!! I'm
back and I'm ready to paaaaar-taaaaay!!!!!"
Maria pulled Richie toward the Frolic Room. It was time to kick back and
have some fun!! "Come on Richie, I want to see ya dance!"
The band started playing and the dance floor was quickly becoming full.
Renee dumped Patrick at home, and made her way down to the DS. After changing
out of the dress (Opting for black jeans and tee shirt!) she makes her way to
the Frolic Room, grabbing the hand of one very handsome vampire.
"Now, what do you have in mind here?" Spike asks, a tiny smile playing across
his lips.
"I'm the Newbie Brig of the Year, Spike old pal!" I inform him. "I intend to
party till the cows come home..or till I fall asleep in my diet Coke!"
Maria moves the diet coke out the way!
THANKS!!!!! okay.......i'mthisclosetofallinasleep!!!!!!! Just a few more
minutes......and this girl's goin to bed!:)
Debby entered the crowded frolic room and smiled at
the sounds of the band and the merriment. Already
slightly buzzed from the whiskey she'd enjoyed during
the awards she headed quickly for the bar. It was time
for some fun now! Leaning back she enjoyed the
atmosphere as she searched for a dance partner.
Tracy after hours finally crawls into the frolic room.
"I made it, I knew I could, I knew I could..." The
Brig passes out just short of then entrance.
Yeah was a naughty girl tonight and drank way too much
at the awards ceremony. I am paying the price, I am
missing the after party, please try not to step on
me...LOL!
I wanted to send a congratulations to all the winners tonight. What with
the egroups PA system having serious problems (We KNEW we should have sprung
for the fancy equipment Thank you to Tammy for the adorable Ezzie. Thank you to Suzy for all of
your hard work to make this year's Ezzies a huge success. Thank you to all
of our judges for the work you put forth in the evaluations. I know they
weren't easy to judge and you all did a wonderful job. Thank you to
everyone who voted on the Spirit Awards.
And thanks go to the Sippin Section at the Ezzies for giving us some fun
entertainment!
