Michael auctioning off Reservoir Dogs car...
(source: contactmusic.com)
MICHAEL MADSEN is looking to turn the yellow Cadillac he drove in RESERVOIR DOGS into a personal windfall after agreeing to auction off the classic car online. The tough guy actor was given the classic 1964 car as a gift from Reservoir Dogs director QUENTIN TARANTINO - and now he's looking to sell it after realising how much it could be worth. He tells Maxim magazine, "I'm going to put it on eBay. They got 70 grand for the BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN truck, so I figure it should be worth a few pennies."

Vega Bros. Back On?
(source: contactmusic.com)
QUENTIN TARANTINO's PULP FICTION and RESERVOR DOGS spin-off is back on the drawing board, with JOHN TRAVOLTA and MICHAEL MADSEN lined up to play THE VEGA BROTHERS. Tarantino has been planning the film for some time, but the project looked set to flounder because the lead characters - Travolta's VINCENT VEGA from Pulp Fiction and Madsen's VIC VEGA from Reservoir Dogs - died in the original films, and both actors are too old for a prequel. But Madsen reveals the director has finally come up with a plan. He tells Moviehole.net, "Well, first he said he would do it, then he said he wasn't going to do it. Then he called me and said, 'You know, I've figured out a way to do it. It can't be a prequel because you and John don't look the same. It wouldn't make sense as a sequel because you're both dead.' "And he gave me an idea that would be really outrageous - that John and I would be the twin brothers of Vic and Vincent. We come from Amsterdam to LA to avenge the deaths of our brothers. I think that's pretty interesting. For me, I'd love to do it."

Upcoming projects...
(source: edmontonsun.com)
- Vice. Filmed in Vancouver with Daryl Hannah and directed by Raul Inglis. "A very dark police drama. Kind of like Bad Lieutenant or King of New York. All about redemption and forgiveness. It's pretty good I think, probably the best thing I've done in quite some time."

- All In. A poker film where Madsen plays a gambler whose daughter is very good at cards. "I got a big kick out of that (project)."

- Being Michael Madsen. Also stars Daryl Hannah and David Carradine. "I don't even know what to call it. I've never seen anything like it before. It's a very bizarre story about me being me, but in a fictional situation." The film is going to the Sundance Film Festival.

- Deep Winter. Best friends try to become the first to ski a dangerous Alaskan peak. Madsen plays a ski instructor and helicopter pilot in this made-in-Utah film that may also go to Sundance.

- Boarding Gate. A thriller filmed in Paris.

- Next project: Strength and Honor. Madsen is going to Ireland to play a boxer.

- Also in the works: Madsen says he may do "this big motorcycle thing" with Quentin Tarantino called Hell Ride. Madsen also plans to produce more of his own projects.

New movie news...
(source: thesweetscience.com)
Actor Michael Madsen has signed to star in director Mark Mahon’s upcoming film, “Strength and Honor.”
Madsen, whose career includes memorable performances in “Reservoir Dogs,” “Donnie Brasco,” and “Kill Bill: Vol. 2,” will play Sean Kelleher, a boxer who promises his dying wife he will retire after he accidentally kills a friend in the ring. But when his son is diagnosed with the same disease that killed his wife, he is forced to put on his gloves again to earn the needed money for his son’s medical treatment.
British actor Vinnie Jones, best remembered for his roles in “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” and “Snatch,” will play his opponent, Smasher O’Driscoll. Television miniseries mainstay Richard Chamberlain has signed on to play Keller’s trainer.
The film is Mahon’s directorial debut and is scheduled to begin production in Cork County, Ireland next month.
Madsen will turn 48 later this year. While he may be a little old to play a prizefighter, Madsen still has plenty of years on 60-year-old Sylvester Stallone, who returns to the silver screen this winter with “Rocky Balboa.”

Michael blasts pal Tom Sizemore...
KILL BILL star MICHAEL MADSEN has severed ties to his troubled former pal TOM SIZEMORE because the former drug abuser has become "too big for his britches".
Madsen has been a constant supporter of the BLACK HAWK DOWN star but now wants nothing to do with Sizemore after repeated offers of help fell on deaf ears. Madsen tells men's magazine Penthouse, "Sooner or later, everybody has to take responsibility for their own actions. He was given a tremendous number of breaks. "Once he got in trouble, he should have stayed the hell off TV... It was self-crucifixion. Why he would want to document his own downfall is a mystery to me. "Tommy got a little too big for his britches. I had to tell him a couple of times."

Michael slams Brad Pitt..
(source: pr-inside.com)
RESERVOIR DOGS tough guy MICHAEL MADSEN has attacked his one-time co-star BRAD PITT for not standing up for him and helping him land a leading role in his new movie. Tough guy Madsen was offered the chance to play Pitt's movie brother in new western THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD, but the actor refused to audition for the role. Madsen felt sure that Pitt, who teamed up with him in THELMA & LOUISE, would vouch for his acting skills and attitude - but the FRANK JAMES role was offered to SAM SHEPARD. Upset Madsen says, "You would think Brad would speak up for me. He obviously didn't do that - all because I said I didn't want to read for this movie... I'm terrible at auditions." The KILL BILL star adds, "They gave the role to Sam Shepard who's twice my age and nowhere near the age of the real Frank James... It's just typical of the way things go for me."

Quotable Michael...

"When you're shaking hands and signing autographs at a premiere, you can actually feel people physically trembling when you're near them."
