Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney was born June 18th, 1942, in Liverpool, England, to working-class parents. McCartney saw tragedy at a very early age, when his mother died of breast cancer. He joined the Quarry Men in 1957, which also consisted of a fellow songwriter and singer, founder of the group, John Lennon. The Quarry Men eventually changed their name into The Beatles. The Beatles disbanded in 1971, but that didn't mean that Paul was out of the lime light. McCartney went solo with his new wife, Linda, who McCartney married in 1969, to form the group Wings. The '80s were marked with a memorable performance at Live Aid's 1985. Tragedy struck McCartney for the second time in his life, as his beloved wife Linda succumbed to cancer. Eventually, Paul, remarried a few years later to, current wife, Heather Mills. With having, the most played song ever ("Yesterday" has been played six million times in the US) and new music coming out all the time, Paul isn't slowing down, and we hope he never does.
