Matt and the entire cast of Tigerland suffered through boot camp to train for the movie.
Before making his big debut, Matt's claim to fame was delivering a pizza to Andy Garcia.
Matt was a pizza delivery boy before "getting discovered."
Matt jokes that he spent more time in boot camp than he did acting as a WWII fighter pilot in Pearl Harbor. "I think I'm on screen for 10 minutes," he said in an interview.

Matt first became interested in acting while attending the Univeristy of Utah.
He then spent a summer in NY, there he performed in plays such as You can't take it with you ,
Antigone and Romeo and Juliet. He then headed to L.A.
After spending three months in Los Angeles, he landed two lead roles in two major films
(Urban Legends and Tigerland). And that was the begining of Matt Davis's continuing career.
