| ![]()       It only took a few minutes of my precious thinking time before I decided on which show would be the first to be inducted into Dan-O's TV Hall Of Fame. Without a doubt The Wonder Years ios one of the greatest shows to ever air on American telvision. Who can forget the emotions they went through every week as they sat back and watched the relationship of Kevin Arnold and Winnie Cooper unfold. In the first episode we saw Kevin and Winnie have their first kiss. Little did we know the journey we were about to embark out. Five season later it seemed inevitable that the two were gonna live a fairy tale life. But the shows creators saw to it to destroy any sense of hope that life can turn out the way we want it too, and they explained to us that the two grew old and got married...TO OTHER PEOPLE! (breathe...ok...move on)Anyways the show ran for five great seasons from 1988 to 1993 but it will live in our hearts forever (or until Nick At Nite decides to stop airing the re-runs.)
| ![]()       In 1986 Gordon Shumway crash landed in TV Land and more importantly into our homes. Gordon, better known as ALF(Alien Life Form), was breathe of fresh air in the world of television. Lets face it, classic sitcoms were sparatic in the mid 80's. However, ALF alongside the Tanner Family, brought joy, laughter, and...well that's about it. But anyways, every week it was an adventure to see how the Tanner family could keep Alf hidden in the kitchen from police, the Ochmonek's, the FBI, hell everyone was powerless against that kitchen. But in the end it was the lesson we learned week after week for four years. It was the lesson subtley told by ALF and the tanner cat, Lucky, that it was cool to eat pussy. And that is why ALF has been etched into the Dan-O TV Hall Of Fame. |
