The next day at school Nicole could barely contain herself every time Laura mentioned the BSB. When I got home I congratulated Nicole on how well she kept the secret, and to keep it up for a while. Anyhow, she exaggerates so much that no one would believe her if she said anything.
In my opinion I need at least two more phone lines, one for the computer, and one for myself so my mom can get through to me if I’m on either of those two. I was talking to Nicole who has both those luxuries, and she was surfing the net. She found a site that said the BSB had spent a recent weekend at a fan’s house, and that the site director would like to hear from that fan. Now I wondered where this information came from seeing the fact that Nicole, my mom, dad and I are all that know about it.
“Nicole, were you in a chat room last night…” I asked, a little worried.
“Maybe. But I never said anything,” she said with a tone of whine in her voice.
“Are you absolutely sure?” I asked, knowing that if I asked the question enough times she would crack.
“I guess so,” she said, sounding more and more unsure of her answer.
“Positive?” I kept nagging her.
“Ok, ok maybe I said something about it, but I never said anything like they spent the weekend, I just told her that my friend met them and they visited her house,” she confessed.
“God! Nicole Marie…” I started.
“Don’t Robin! Just don’t, OK?”
“Fine, Fine, Fine. But, you are not to answer that request to tell about it OK?” I told her.
“All right. Just don’t jump down my throat.”
“Blabbermouth,” I teased.
“Klutz,” she shot back.
“At least I can keep a secret”
“At least I can manage to dance without hurting myself,” she giggled.
“Yeah well…. well… ummm….” I tried for a comeback that suited the moment before I burst out laughing. So, our little fight ended right then without a thought of anger as we ended the conversation with gossip about our closest friends.
