Chapter 34

As AJ walked into the room he saw a girl dressed in all black, with a
cowboy hat, and a tube top on. He looked her up and down, thinking about how
to get in her pants. There was something familiar about her. He watched as her
back stiffened, and she whirled around.

“Look who’s here,” I muttered after I’d turned around to find AJ staring
at me.

AJ cursed himself, of course he knew who that was, it was Bobbi. God,
why did she have to show up now? He was just beginning to come to terms with
what had happened to him.

“What the hell are you doing here?” AJ called out to me.

“I was invited by Kev to come down and chat is that’s fine with you,” I
said with a sneer.

“Actually, it’s not fine, I never want to see you unless I have to. And
now I don’t have to, so I’m leaving,” AJ said bolting toward the door.

“Coward,” I said as he opened the door.

“What did you just call me?” he whirled around and began to march in
my direction.

“I called you a coward,” I said nonchalantly looking at my nails, all the
while keeping a wary eye on my adversary.

“No one, I mean no one calls me a coward. Male, female it doesn’t
matter. If I could kill you I would bitch,” he said staring me down.

“ I just did call you a coward, and you’re right, you can’t kill me,” I said
mentally daring him to reveal his or my vampire status. He actually heard my
mental insults, and answered with a few of his own before verbally addressing
me.

“You know what? I don’t have to deal with you and your bitchiness,” he
said marching out the already opened door.

“See you later,” I said in a sickeningly sweet voice after him.

“Die!” was his only response, yelled from down the hall.

“That was better than usual,” Nick said trying to lighten the mood after
we heard a few more doors slam in the distance

“Sorta,” I said trying to calm my racing heart and my skyrocketing
temper. Why was it that he had the power to drive me absolutely over the edge
with one word or look? God I hated him.

“Bobbi, we have to talk,” Whitney said, pulling me out of the room.

“Yeah. I need to talk to you.”

We went into the lounge that AJ had previously left and sat down on a
large, plush sofa.

“Whitney,” I said trying to get words out, “I communicated mentally
with him.”

“What? Oh God, this is going to be a problem,” Whitney said, deep in
thought.

“Ya think?” I snapped, “Sorry. I didn’t mean to yell at you.”

“It’s ok. You know we need to talk to someone about this. There has to
be a way to break this spell. Going on tour is going to kill one or both of ya”
Whitney said leaning back, deep in thought.

“Until then, I’m going to have to keep my thoughts to myself.”

“We’ll talk to Kevin, Brian and their grandfather. ‘Till then, why don’t
you just sit back and relax? I mean come on, we do get free trips to Europe out
of this,” she said trying to ease my mind.

I sat straight up in my seat. I knew who to talk to, Will. Our King. Duh!
“Whitney,” I said suddenly, “why don’t I call Will?”

“Great idea. I’ll go get Kevin and Brian, and you can call Will on one of
their phones,” Whitney said scurrying off.
