This science course is designed for 10th/11th grade students to take after completing a biology course. It is recommended to have passed Algebra with a C or better as chemistry has a lot of math calculations in it. The importantce of chemistry is to understand the microscopic world around us. What are these reactions that happen within our own bodies? Why does ice behave like it does? What does yeast do for baking bread? Questions like these and many others can be understood through the principles of chemistry. Besides this class includes fun learning activities, such as making ice cream, making candy, and tie-dying t-shirts.
