                          Black Bean Brown Rice

  1                cup  brown rice
  2               cups  water
  2                     beef bouillon cubes
  1           teaspoon  cumin
     1/4                green pepper -- diced
     1/4                onion -- diced
  1                can  diced tomatoes with Jalapeno peppers
  1                can  black beans
  1           teaspoon  garlic -- minced
Cook the rice, bouillon, cumin, garlic with the 2 cups water.  Add more
water if needed and do not allow to cook dry.  Cook until rice is tender.
Add diced green pepper and onion, and tomatoes (undrained).  Drain and
wash the black beans and add to mixture.
Heat until boiling and then simmer for about 10 minutes watching rice
carefully.
