Next Shadow Mission

It seems the smoke order had an operative making a play for the child at the same time
He worked out a little of the plan

He had to be prevented from telling the order what he knew
As protection he hit a black legion guard and was in Titan jail

Hard to break into
But with a distraction from Leon and some memory loss poison from general Kass
We wiped the last week from the memories of Titan jail
Priotus was suspicious but the bacteria used was a natural one so he can not trace it

He is more interested in the “distraction”
Leon summoned a lot of balors and had them march on Titan

They then did a dance to a song called YMCA
Which the council now believes is a demon worshiping cult
(it was an earth organisation for helping young men apparently)

Leon made his demands of beer and peanuts

Smoke Order

We asked for a little info on the smoke order
They were a cult who believed in guiding hands
Entities behind some of the world’s greatest heroes who come time and time again
(Sounds like our little saboteurs)

The order was to watch for them and help them
The offshoot of the order of light believed they had to stop these guides
And managed to kill a few before they could influence events

Nowadays the order is just Tolywyn Grayhawkes rogue’s gallery
They have lost the mission

Talking to Ms Keogh it seems though that they never had it anyway
She says they have constantly failed to spot these “hands” even when they were right under their noses
But she did warn us to stay away from them as they could still endanger us
She would not say anymore (although I know she knows more)

Problems in Space

It seems the admiral has possibly 2 mutinies
One from her crew who do not understand why she has not invaded
And one from her government who want her replaced
Battle group Persaus has arrived under the command of their missing officer Paul

It has taken up position outside the system
Petra and Anna are on the planet but unavailable

Priotus offered to help the admiral .. better the devil you know

Dorothy

Jessie met a very odd person called Dorothy
Younger than she looks and came to Jessie for some “fun”
After a run in with fabian she decides not to come back
Intriguing

Magnus

Alex came up with a good point
Why is Magnus outside of imperiallis
Is there another temple under the monastery?
We should check it out

The histories say there were once ruins on the site
We shall start digging there

Fights and Illusions
Mood:  don't ask
Fight

It seems Priotus and Ms Doomfist had a fight
Priotus must have won as Ms Doomfist was very badly injured apparently
Then a riot broke out in Imperiallis between 2 sets of rival fans arguing over who won
Most of the military high command are now in the brig for taking part
This does mean however the League of heroes is heading for the capital
(Good as we have invited all of them to the function anyway)
Along with Vermithrax who everyone says would guarantee the King accepting

Second Shadow Mission

Was a clean up of mess caused by Gage Ohlsfords lack of discretion
He was meant to kill a shapeshifting alien without the townsfolk knowing that it was an alien
He failed and the CSA did an info drop proving that it was an alien

We had to clean up the mess .. find the documents and make them believe they saw something else

Enter the illusionist
We set up a fight with another of these creatures
Alex played the hero
And we played up the Demon angle

We substituted the documents for Demon ones
And leon played a learned Scholar who confirmed it was a Demon
And basically blames Gage for it all
That should amuse the queen at least

The Function

Our official entry into society

Leon arranged it all
Even getting us a mansion to hold it in

The function went well apart from an attack by Stan of all people
Seems the collected league of heroes was too much of a temptation
He trashed the mansion a but leon said Lord Fargo would not mind

Had some time with lanris
And Alex and Garrin seem to be getting on quite nicely too

Lady Swift made an appearance without her husband
But let early
Probably to go and kill someone
Not sure if I can reconcile this with what is “good” for Imperiallis

Surprise Visit

I had a visit from Ms Halloran last night
She came with some advice and info

Her bandit tally almost equals Raptors
She says she does this wherever she settles to make the area safer for her
She knows it also helps the ordinary people but that’s not here primary reason

Raptor choosing only bandits is a conscious choice and the only reasonable one for her
The urge to kill and maim is something she can’t change
So only bandits and only 200 is a minor miracle apparently

Jessie says that does not make it any more right
But it is the least wrong she has ever known raptor to do
And her value as an ally against Fabian is worth a little sacrifice
She also said that her worth as a person was also worth this but I did not understand that

She said Leon was right
But he could have put it better
She said everyone deserves 1 shot at redemption
Even Leon (and I am beginning to realise that Leon may have a lot to redeem himself for )

Made me feel a little better that someone else fells like this
Knowing it is wrong but having to let it go for the greater good

Strife

More Visitors

An earth general called Mcallister visited the court and made a huge show of supporting us against the commonwealth .. but according to Leon the Vanguard are their worlds Thraxians so what he is up to no-one knows

Ms Doomfist is up to something and it involves space hopefully it is not selling weapons to the aliens up there

Shadow guild

It seems the incident with the bandits and Sirius Clavel was a test
To see if we were capable of joining the Royal arm of the Shadow Guild
Sirius is the head spymaster and an Illusionist of great skill
The setup was an illusion

We passed the test and were asked to join
We did for the good of Imperiallis

Our first mission was a biggie

Imperiallis’s throne has to have a successor to remain valid
Problem being the Queen can not stand men (understandable)
Further complicating matters is the fact that the king DOES like men

Making the rumours of the Queens pregnancy just that

They had a plan to take the last Scion of the 5 kingdoms
A northern state who greatly influenced King Fenix 1 when he was forming Imperiallis

The plan was to take this orphan and have it raised as the heir to the throne
But for this to happen it had to be gotten quietly

Our part was bringing the child to Imperiallis from Titan
And we succeded in that
There were complications but they were nothing to do with us and were settled quickly


Harpies

Reports had been coming in about harpy activity
And a strange clampdown from the palace led us to believe the harpy was “lady Swift” known on her world as Raptor who eats flesh in a similar way

We had to find out
Wish we had not

She has killed and mutilated over 200 people since arriving here
Leon says that is a drop in the ocean to what she used to do
And that they were all just bandits who deserved it

But they were people
And she ate them

The queen fully knows and condones this slaughter too
Its hard to take

And we had already planned out first function
In order to get closer too her to help in our battles with Fabian
How much help can a monster like that be ?

Clean mission and the Party
Cleanse

A simple cleanse mission from the king
A band of bandits had taken over the steel foundry on the outskirts of Imperiallis .. a major embarasment for the Military

So we were called in to clean it out before the military strike team

Mission acomplished
Alex really seemed to enjoy it
she has been itching for a good fight

Killed the fire mage and got our reward

The Party

We made the introductions to Lady Swift
Her and the queen seem to be very close (yes in that way)

We also met Garrins father .. turns out Garrins mother was Elven
and it did not end well but she is still alive
living in the forrest
He seemed quite taken with Alex luckily

Alex and Garrin spent the night together :)
Hope everything went well

Disturbing Developments
Mood:  sad
After helping the lord general get some sleep

Gen met a young kid who it became clear was the part of Krakken that has been reborn into the world

He sent an assasin after Lanris
but the assasin failed (or was not actually ordered to kill Lanris)

Cass Keogh had promised not to let Lanris out of her sight
she saved Lanris

However it was the Earth assasin Sho
and Krakken had basically told us where to find him ???

we headed to the school and engaged him
his photographic reflexes were a pain in the behind
but he was not opperating at full power due to being puppeted

however close to defeat he pulled some kind of disappearing act
and got away GRRRR

Alex then came up with a plan to farcast him back home and The primeminister and the Admiral were working on those details when we left

We have a ball to prepare for
Jessie suggested a book of Kyotan poetry as a gift for Lady Swift

Forrest blues
Mood:  blue
The trip to the forrest went badly

Master ranger Shae told us she would contact Ares and ask him to meet us
But would not tell us where he is

Leon took this badly and started to act very childishly
Which got him shot many time
Nothing dangerous just a little lesson from the Elves

i have never seen this side of Leon before and its dangerous
If he gets killed and sent home
He will not be allowed to come back and we lose not only an ally
but a friend

I did however visit the Redfern glade
Priotus mentioned that respects were in order if i was to start crafting the redfern rune

Semms faeries do not as such die
not having souls when their body dies their life force returns to the forrest glade they were born in and ramins there till it is reborn

It retains a little of the personality that it had in life
so some part of Aspin still remains

Charming lady she had a look and then not in words but emotion
gave me permission to craft the Redfern rune

It is a moment that will stay with me forever

lanris

My first crafting of the rune is for her
to protect her against the darkness
not that she needs it , the garison has taken a shine to her. seems she can cook really well and they like that

her training is progressing but its hard
Being blind from birth she has no idea what things are supposed
to look like
so teaching her how to create is difficult but Cass is managing
And we managed to steal some time alone :)

Sunken Fortress

The sunken fortress Under Ashford is the remains of the Dwarven Capital
Before they were wiped out and Cursed for eternity
The curse has been lifted and archaeologists have started in the city
We were interested in what was below the city

We had a ratman trap masters help and discovered a bunch of mercenaries also there
The mercenaries died very nastily
Something was guarding the ruins below

We went anyway and got a big surprise
White Atlanteans all women all very psychic

Not at all sure what they were but they seemed ok with us looking around
They even helped us find the main buildings

The castle from the Dream
We headed for the library and I took the book I was reading in the dream
Hopefully Jessie can translate it

Alex checked out “her” room and found a load of broken weapons
Not sure what that means either
but we were later told to find someone called Ares to help with that
so a trip to the forrest is in order (Ares served with master ranger Shae)

We followed the power source readings and when we got to the tower
We triggered an illusion of some sort
We were back as Greive and reich

And the story jumped back a little
To the night of Brekkens release
Tolan ordered us to deal with “her” new creations
Created by her use of the Lanris
And Rochon told us to play along as his plan was coming to fruition

So we went and found her creations
The Atlantean forerunners, all female and all white
We convinced them to help and went back to Rochon
He mentioned Greives little rabble rouser Solvoun but not much came of that

A bit of deduction also led to Ceres being the creator of the 0110 race
As the Atlanteans were designed to kill the 0110 who had rebelled
Then the Atlanteans rebelled
So Ceres created a new ultimate race
We don’t know what that one is yet

But it seems the women bred with first the divines then other races that followed
And gave birth to more than 1 race
The Atleanteans on leons world for 1

It got a little confusing for us as we have seen this scene from different angles
But the saboteurs could have lived the lives of more than 1 divine
As they have lived countless lives over the Eons

Needs more investigating

Rebellion

Fabian snookered

Fabian attempted a takeover of the mages guild
And it seemed nothing could stop it

Until the new military governor of Imperiallies stepped in
Raptor (Fabians wife)

She made Priotus military governor of blastrock much to Fabians dismay

Seems she came toImperiallis to retire
Not for Fabian to start scheming again
And the queen and of all people Matt Keogh have been talking to lady Swift

When Ivans office was searched he was stockpiling mana crystals
Thousands of them some huge ones from the Forrest
1 had shards orbiting it and Matt hemlock said he had seen this near ashford

While we were there a Psychic Tried to frame Leon for the murder of some Rangers
Admiral Hawke was gunning for him till she realised it was a trick

Crystal Neinheart

We discovered that she has been to Earth
She got herself Gene boosted with 0110 DNA
That’s what she is

Wade Halloran

Jessie’s religious Zealot of a brother is also here
At a dangerous time as some people are desperately looking for new gods
And he has just the kind of charisma to take them

Space

The xidus fleet that was on the way has been destroyed
By an offshoot human fleet called Vanguard City
They are intending to take XID (xidus home world)
This will spark a holy war and is not good

Battle fleet Krakken is due to arrive
And things could get dangerous
When it arrives the Admiral could and tactically should perform a military takeover
It remains to be seen what she will do

Thraxians

They are hunting down and killing their own children
According to Vermithrax they do feel deeply but they do not let that influence their actions, he raised them that way but when he left those children did not implement that training in their own children

Then Lucy came and raised them to war
And my they hate her for it
There will be a reckoning there I think

The house of Magnus
Mood:  quizzical
The fall of the House of Magnus

We decided to head the ruins of the Magnus estate for some answers
And we got more than we bargained for

Seems they were Cult of Krakken
And were doing a ritual in the old temple under the house
(temple to the divines)

Seems a young boy names Sam messed the ritual up
Killing the High priestess with his mothers sword
(his father was killed and his mother sacrificed .. his young brother survived)

But something went wrong and it looks like Sam ended up with the power
He basically became a pawn of Ceres, directly connected to the chorus
A chorister of everything

And we think that Sam now goes by Magnus’s name
And claims their legacy

Odd as he is in fact the son of Ellen Vassilly one of the riches families in Imperiallis
And either him or his brother (victor) could at any point claim the merchants guild

He must have his reasons though seems he has very little else
And very little choice

Above that temple were Dwarven ruins , a kind of tourist attraction
Loads of junk to sell to Jessie

The worrying thing is the text on the ritual room and statues is Atlantean
The warlike advanced race from Leons world
It is unknown how they could come to be here

The sword of damoclease

Damocles

The super end of the world type warrior from leons world
Showed up under mind control of the shards on the island
Under the control of Hellion (krakens daughter)

Hit Magnus with unlimited power
Magnus took it on the chin and hardly flinched (we really need to investigate this more)

We freed Damocles and he left and Magnus went back to whatever he was doing

Blastrock

Priotus headed to Blastrock
And it was not pretty
He gave what was left of Ivan to the lichelords outside and reclaimed the mages guild


Asmodai and fortune meet their ends

We found out what was up with Asmodai
Fortune was fighting her last battle and he was to be at her side

We learned a little more about ourselves
In the beginning there was only Ceres
But something made a choice to BE

What was that something ?

It was the 2 bits of original material that ?Gen had
Fortune with her time ring sent those back to the beginning to start the individuality
She seemed to be annoyed with them for some reason

There are 2 of us and 1 changer for the dark

Asmodai and Fortunes last stand provided the distraction needed for Ceres not to notice
They went down fighting by all accounts
Tyr went with them however
Leaving Dianne Cresent a bit lost

We needed more answers

Christian taught us how to Take power from events
Not shards as such but power none the less

We assume Magnus has done this countless times and that’s where his power lies
So we are off to investigate the House of Magnus
