The Crossroads Blues Society and Charlotte's Web for the Performing Arts sponsored the Rockford Guitar Shootout Saturday night, July 9, 2005 at Sinnissippi Park. Four local bluesmen played to a packed band shell. Steve Ditzell (who has toured and recorded with Koko Taylor, Junior Wells and Buddy Guy), Bob Levis (who toured and recorded with Lonnie Brooks and Otis Rush), Pistol Pete (who has toured extensively and opened for Buddy Guy, Cheap Trick and Kansas) and Dan Voll (a wonderful artist who has repeatedly won accolades for his work) all got together for a hot night of blues in the park.
