Hello Steve
I have now completed the translation of A. A. Dimitriev’s fine book on Russian submarine badges. It was quite a big task as my Russian to say the least is very sketchy. However, with the assistance of some good translation software and a good Polish friend I think the translation is more or less correct.
I have enclosed the translation as a Word file for your information. Also enclosed is a short list of Russian words and acronyms related to submarine badges. I have formatted the translation so it fits page by page with the original (in European A4 paper format – easily changed to US letter format).
You are free to use and distribute the translation as you please – perhaps put it on your web-site – as long as you maintain the reference to me. Eventhough the book is protected by copy-right I do not envisage Mr. Dimitriev or the RUBIN design bureau will claim copy-right on translation.
