A physically educated student at Washington High School
will:

Recognize the enjoyment that is possible in participating in
physical activity.

Understand and demonstrate the concept of incorporating physical fitness
into daily lives

Demonstrate increased the knowledge and application of appropriate PE
behavior, good sportsmanship, fair play, rules and regulations of
sports/activities in class.
4. Recognize the safe environment that has been provided
5. Recognize and feel comfortable to participate in a safe environment in which they feel they can try a variety of new activities, games and skills
6. Experience implemented technology into physical education
Rationale:

· NASPE standard #7 understands that physical activity provides the opportunity for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction.
· Center for Disease Control states positive experiences with physical activity at a young age help lay the basis for being regularly active throughout life.

· NASPE standard #3 exhibits a physically active lifestyle.
· The American Red Cross suggests participating in continuous, vigorous physical activity for 20-30 minutes at least three times a week to reduce chances of heart disease.

Applying the concepts from the book Positive Behavior
