My PE Philosophy is not complicated at all.  I expect from my students is that they do the best they can all the time.  They will not get graded down for lack of athletic ability since athletic ability should not be a factor in the grading process.  Some teachers do include athletic ability in the grading process, something in which I do not understand.

Another goal I have in my PE philosophy is to do my best to ensure that the students are receiving their daily exercise, yet at the same time, they are enjoying their PE time.  When I meet that goal, I know the kids are enjoying themselves enough so that they do not even realize how much exercise they are actually receiving.

My last goal I have in teaching my PE classes are to ensure that my students have improved in the areas of physical fitness throughout the school year.  I accomplish this goal by daily running, stretching, sit ups and pushups.  By the end of the school year, the students have improved greatly on their scores of the fitness testing that are administered at the beginning and end of the year.
