03/28/03 - Back!
On Friday I saw Pretty Girls Make Graves and I have to honestly say that I was disappointed. Musically, they sound good on a cd and through a pair of headphones, but live it is kind of a let down. Nathan from the band left a while ago, and Seth from Les Savy Fav was filling his place. It seemed that Seth didn't know the parts to well, so it was kind of a bummer. Prior to the main act, the show was excellent. Mejungg played, and they were phenomenal, comprised to five members who interchanged between instruments, and singers. It was amazing. The Red Light Sting was a major let down too. I thought it would be good, but the entire time I felt like, mainly due to the singer, that I was listening to early ATDI. Lastly but not least, the Constantines are amazing. I wanted to dance to their songs, a kind of Clash-Bruce Springstine-esque band. Not to mention the lead singer had to have been Joe Stummers twin or something.
The sad news of the day: Black Eyes, DC based band on Dischord, played their last show Friday at the Black Cat in Washington D.C. I never had the opprotunity to see them play, but people who were there told me the show was rocking. Lasting till 2am and ending with people on stange rocking out to Deformative. For those of you who have never heard, you can listen here (right click/ save target as.

03/20/03 - Good Things are coming our way...
I know nobody comes to this site, but people should start to spread the word that this site is for real. I plan on creating different sections to this website that would contain album reviews, show reviews, and a picture section as well. All in due time.
Cursive writes amazing lyrics. Domestica has been my album of the day. It is simply amazing how the album begins with such emotion and depth. From the first words spoken to the last chord, the album is simply a piece of art.

03/19/04 - www.Emogame.com
For those who enjoy assuming the roles of pixilated indie/emo icons in a quest against the evil ways of mainstream media, than EmoGame is just for you. The plot of EmoGame centers on Tim Kasher who is brainwashed by the cast of Friends. In a sick and twisted stratagem they try to destroy the emo scene by firstly raping and slaughtering Ian Mackaye. Luckily, Conor Oberst and other such indie allies will team up to put an end to the destruction of the emo world.
You must embody your favorite emo characters, and fight of hordes of enemies that range from high-school jocks to capitalitics pigs. Guest appearances by Falcor, He Man, and BuddyHead enhance the games entertainment factor without dulling the game. Keep in mind, that before you play EmoGame you will be utterly and totally consumed by the absurdity and addictiveness of EmoGame. You’ll play it more than one time, and learn in the end that it was all a waste of time.
