The lesser of two evils (yet again).
Should I vote for George Bush or John Kerry in 2004? I am the only undecided person I know of relative to this question. The ideologues on either side have long ago made up their minds, but I have strong reservations about supporting either man.

I should begin by stating that republicans have the right politics on both taxation and gun control. At the same time, Bush is responsible for the poorly thought out occupation of Iraq and a huge budget deficit. Furthermore, by surrounding himself with rogues like Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Ashcroft his ?moral compass? is suspect.

Despite my disliking Bush, I cannot think of a single reason to vote for John Kerry. His selection of an ambulance chaser for a running mate turns me off, as does his lackluster record in the senate. His half-hearted investigation of the Iran-Contra scandal was a disservice to the country, and his support of legislation that attacks our second amendment makes him impossible to vote for.

So, what shall I do? I am tired of constantly voting for the lesser of two evils, but I will vote.

Memorial Day, Willie Nelson, and New Pictures!
Mood:  mischievious
Now Playing: Willie Nelson
I like Willie Nelson more and more lately. I am listening to his version of "Me & Bobby McGee," and it is just kickin. Growing up, I never figured I'd be a Willie fan, but he has made me a believer. Jenny and I say him before Christmas this year, and I have been a fan ever since.

Anyway, Jenny and I are having a cookout for memorial day, and I am in a good mood. I pounded in the horseshoe stakes earlier, and cut the grass out back. All we need now are some friendly folk, some meat, and alcohol and we are set. I will try to take pictures and add them here when I can.

By the way (is anyone out there?)I have rearranged my photo album a bit. I think it is easier to "navigate"
now.

Is this thing on?
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Ralph and Carter Stanley
Earlier today Jenny and I went for our first hike of the spring. We went with our friends Michelle, Scott, and their Children. 8 miles on the Biz Johnson in just under 4 hours, and I am exhausted. Oh well, it is still early and there is plenty of time to get into shape. We treated ourselves to a chocolate shake afterwards (aren't we bad?).
