El Conjunto Typico para la musica Panamena.
(This is a typico group for playing the special Panamanian Music during the Carnavales.)
La musica (the music) gives you wings as your feet follow along to the beat of the big drum.

What a beautiful Panamanian Lady!

Here is a young lady dressed in a beautiful Pollera. She is standing in front of the Golden Altar in the church of San Jose. This church is a must see. It is located in downtown Panama City in the old part of town called Casco Viejo.

Here is a closer look at the "Golden Altar." The famous English Pirate, Sir Henry Morgan who sacked Panama Viejo missed the church of San Jose and the "Golden Altar." You might ask yourself....How? Well, the Panamanian people disguised the altar in such a way that it appeared worthless. Like the old saying goes, "If you want to hide something well, hide it in full view by using camouflage." Lucky for the world it fooled Henry Morgan! We can now all enjoy the beauty of this Golden Altar.

Here are some dancers taking a short break. Good thing we had our Kodak Brownie Camera. Nice picture!

One of the best selling beers in Panama. Wow, it is hot tonight... or is it just me...Shorty how about an icy cold Panama...

Siestas

Siestas in the afternoon
Power naps we call them
Always welcome, don't you know
In a hammock or in the bed,
if too hot......then on the floor.
Never say no to a siesta,
Make it for hours, if you can,
If not then 30 minutes will do just fine.
Si! Very refreshing once it is done.
Viva Siestas! One by one.....
Have you had your siesta today?

It is Panama Beer time...

Yes, Yes, a Panama beer will hit the spot every time. Enjoy one the next time you go to a party. Ask for it where you buy your beer, You will be glad you did!"

To believe.....to reach.....to strive is to keep a dream alive. If you use each today as a chance to reach out, to learn something more of what life's all about....... If you follow your dreams, strive to make them come true..... Then life's sure to bring all the best things to you.
