Students in Key Stage 3 follow the Keymaths course which provides full and differentiated coverage of the United Kingdom National Curriculum and Numeracy Strategy. Year 7 students are taught in eight small mixed ability classes of aproximately 22 students. Year 8 and 9 students are placed into teaching groups based on their past achievement, interest and ability, with the class size similar to Year 7. Students are required to use and apply their mathematics, and to make use of computers to aid learning and for problem solving. The department has the use of a designated room for such ICT work.
