| MUNICH IS AWESOME!!! I've been here about a week now (spent the weekend in Tirol region of Austria with the Rieder fam), and am just settling in. Things were a bit hectic this morning, as 5 year old Sebastian, usually quite positive and mature, did NOT want to go to kindergarten. Turns out later his knee was still hurting from a fall he took last night, so he didn't want to walk to the bus with me. Anyway, when I finally caught the train to my German class after bringing him, I was about forty minutes behind schedule, and after missing the stop (the doors on THAT particular train car were broken, according to one passenger ??), I turned up about an hour late! Things are otherwise quite dandy. Munich is beautiful (and the countryside...and the mountains...); my class is composed of people from all over Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America (I've spoken more Spanish in the last week than in the last year, I think); and my the situation with the family is working out quite nice. Best of all? Spending this next weekend in Heidelberg again with Mara! Tschuss! |
