If you didnt read last weeks edition then too bad, coz its gone now. Dont worry, you probably didnt miss much. So my days off were as boring as anything. It was so hot, so i just stayed in my hotel room and watched japanese tv, mucked around on my computer. I didnt go anywhere coz i really couldnt be bothered, and was tired, and couldnt be bothered. Wednesday was a mixed day. I had to wake up early coz it would take me twice as long to get to school as usual, coz i had to bring all my luggage to leave at school as I had checked out and couldnt leave my stuff there. Yes, I had to haul my suitcase, army duffel bag, backpack, and computer bag down 3 flights of stairs at the hotel, from the hotel to the train station, on the trains, changing twice, one of them changing platforms (up and down stairs again), then from the train station to the school. All by myself. It wouldve been good to have a car then. Or even SOMEONE WHO WOULD HELP ME CARRY MY STUFF!!!! Yes, everyone here is so friendly. And then once my stuff was at the school, i had to catch a train to tokyo to the other head office, for another day of training (just a coincidence that its on at such a close date to my initial training). I met all the other teachers from Kanto area (which is like Tokyo State), and got some ideas and whatever. It was just a sort of relaxed day, and then when it was finishd everyone went out but i had to hurry back to my school to meet my manager because i was FINALLY MOVING INTO MY APARTMENT. Turns out she had taken my stuff over during the day, and it took her 3 trips or something. So that was nice of her i guess. Its about 10 mins walk from the school, which is good (which also means about 10 mins walk to the station). But yesterday and today suddenly its raining, so everywhere i go, i get wet. This morning was pretty heavy, so i got this stupid raincoat from a convenience store, its too big, but at least i stay dry. i wanted to save my money and buy a proper one though, but getting wet all the time was pissing me off. Like last night, walking from the school, to the supermarket, then home, with my shopping, in steady rain. About half an hour of walking in the rain carrying about 10 kgs worth of stuff. Great! Tomorrow is my first real day of teaching, where i am fully by myself as Christian has left (and he left me stuff in his/now my apartment: bilingual TV, stereo, sofa bed, rice cooker, so that was really nice of him). Anyway, I will get back to writing lesson plans now. Hooray.........Complaining much?
