      the o-fish-ial fishmas page

the year has swum along as it always does, and it's nearly fishmas time again!.

i apologise for the lack of updates to the page, but i'm the only one who works on it, and i was in ireland until a couple days ago, and had little to no internet access there, which made for quite a lack of all sorts of internety things. but here i am back again!

the new fishmas icon is up! click here or down below to get it! right click, save as, and then set it in aim as your buddy icon. yay! go fishy!

fishmas looks like it's going to be celebrated the second weekend in october, from the 14th-16th, as we were all late in getting the fish swimming this year (instead of the ball rolling, see, i'm clever, eh?) partly due to me being away and not getting people riled up and... um... i'm not sure why else. but it didn't happen until nowish, so here we go.

i'll be doing more updates to the page soon, sorting some things out better and adding more bits and pieces, and possibly changing the look of it all, but some of the changes and updates can be made by all of you- how, you ask? how can we possibly help without being a html guru *cough cough as if* like you, mia, and working on the website itself? (which anyone is welcome to do, by the wayyyyy....)

by writing carols, creating games, and all around fishy thinking, of course! come up with stuff for the page, and i'll do my best to put it on here. promise. in fact, i just posted a lost fishmas carol from last year that somehow got buried in my e-mail inbox, a fantastic little number called let us throw that laurie wrote. go check it out! then write your own! i also wrote four new ones today 'cause i went to classes with henry and i was bored. whee! all over at the carols page. if not for the fact that i'm the one offering the prize, i would have just won it!

so, until there's more to talk about here, we still have pictures up from last year's fishmas over HERE, tho i've had to password protect it as i got an e-mail from some weirdo who thought it was hot that i could carry nick on my back- it's true! i'll show you the e-mail if you want, maybe post it here- tho i'm thinking of making some new way to display pictures here. if you need the password, e-mail me at singingmonkey@rebelspy.net and i'll let you have it. if you're not some wacko. not that we all aren't. but.

hopefully i'll be able to carry out the photo updating like i wanted to last year through the weekend, as i now have my own digital camera and i think our location for this year has internet. which will make things more fun for those who couldn't make it.

so! for general fishmas information, get on the fishmas mailing list at groups.yahoo.com/group/fishmas, and/or for the full experience, if you're on myspace as most of our fishmasers now are, go join the fishmas group i started there (groups.myspace.com/fishmas) for info and such, too. keep updated, as this page won't have full detail on things like where fishmas is happening and directions to the festivities.

game submissions and ideas can be sent, just like carols, to: fishmasday@yahoo.com!

jess and nick and erin and molly and laurie all rock for being the only people to write fishmas carols last year. spoot to the rest of you. jess, being the first, got a prize. i offer the same thing this year! prize to the first carol! maybe even a second prize to whoever writes the MOST carols, providing people write multiple ones! send in carols! now! do it! you know you want to! send them, again, to fishmasday@yahoo.com! how many times will i post this e-mail on the page? who knows! here it is again! fishmasday@yahoo.com!
