The Rules

Introduction: Dartwars is an ongoing Nerf fight free for all. One shot and you're dead till midnight, a second shot after that and you're out of the game. At 12:01am of the first day, the game starts and continues untill 11:59pm of the last day, or until only one player remains. If, at the end, multiple players are still alive, the person with the most kills wins. If 2 players have the same number of kills, the one with the most lives left wins. If they both have the same number of kills and lives, A shootout will be in order. Every player must own a dart gun and is expected to carry one around during game play, for obvious reasons.

Gun Regulations: Foam, plastic, or rubber dart guns only. Nerf ball guns are allowed, but they can only be fired through the gun that it was intended for. No throwing or hitting the balls. No disc guns. No BB guns or sling shots (including the Nerf sling shot). No throwing of darts or propelling them by any other means other than a valid gun. With that being said, modified guns are allowed, but if they have the possibility of seriously injuring players, they must be run by Ryan first.

RULES:

  1. Work Rule: You may not shoot or be shot while on work premises. This does not include your way to and from work. Once you leave your building of employment, you are fair game. If you work in a mall, you are not safe until you are actually in the employee's only area. If you work in the mall and are on a break OUTSIDE OF YOUR STORE, you may shoot or be shot. You may not shoot someone while you are working or in your store on a break.
  2. Bus Rule: Simple, you may not shoot or be shot while riding public transit. Bus shelters are fair game, HOWEVER, C-Train platforms are safe and you cannot shoot or be shot while on one.
  3. School Rule: You may not be shot on high school property. This includes the parking lot and the field. This does not include, however, your path to and from school, or other schools like elementary or jr. high. *Campus rule*: You may not be shot in a building, but all other campus property is fair game.
  4. Extra-cirricular Activities: If you are involved in extra-cirricular activities, this is the same as the work rule. Once you are involved in the activity, you are safe until you are done. ex) you are at soccer practice so you cannot be shot while warming up or practicing, but as soon as you are allowed to leave, you are fair game. This includes LEGIT family activities.
  5. Shields: No shields are permitted. The only shield allowed in the game is the Nerf Manta Ray because that is what it was designed for. This does not include trees or cars. Use your discretion.
  6. Ricochet: Ricochets are NOT permitted. Once a dart touches the ground or a wall or an object, it is dead. Again, use your discretion if an item barely skims a chair or something.
  7. Naked Rule: If you are naked, you are invisible. You may shoot enemies, but may not be shot. This applies to both sexes. You must be completely naked, excluding footwear and headgear. (Yes, this rule has been used!!!!)
  8. House Rule: Houses are fair game, IF the person in the house playing dartwars says its OK to come inside. If a parent invites you in, you may only go as far as just inside the door. Sibling invites do NOT count. This is to avoid those little annoying siblings I know some of you have that will invite your enemies into your house to have you killed because they think its funny...Enough said. Garages are fair game IF the garage door has been opened.
  9. Backyards: You are only allowed in backyards with the permission of the owners or once your target has fired a shot during battle. This shot does not have to be taken from the backyard.
Dead Men Can't Talk: Once you are shot you are dead, out of the game. You can't help your team, you may not pick up darts, and you may not interfere in the game in any way. Now as to any rule, there are exceptions, for instance, if you are the only person that owns a car, of course you may drive around your team and such, but you are expected to sit in or by the car and not tip off teammates, etc. Remember, this is a game of honor, we can't have every detail that could happen in the game listed in the rulebook. It is expected that you play with honor and respect. Don't do anything you think is unfair once you die.

Advice:
Don't break into someone's car, it's against the law.
If you have a dispute on the battlefield, like say, two people getting shot at the same time, talk it out between the two involved until something is worked out. This could include a shootout, both players being dead, both alive, etc.
Also, kills must be acknowledged by both players involved, so be honest about it. That's what this game is built on, honesty, good judgement, and good discretion. Any disputes that can't be settled bring to the person in charge of the game.
Property damage: If you or your darts break something, you are 100% responsible for it, so be careful and use good aim.
The most important thing you should be aware of is safety. The last thing we want is for someone to get hurt. It would ruin the fun.
Don't do anything stupid like drive down the street going 100km/h waving a dart gun out the window of your car. If you are going to do something that puts yourself or others in danger, don't play. There is no need to speed in a car. If you obey the speed limit you will still make it to the place you are going. I don't know of anyone who has been shot because they were going too slow. The winning team isn't going to be the people who drive the fastest and gave the most blowjobs. The winners are the ones who had the best tricks and strategies. It's kind of hard to win anyways if your car is impounded or your license suspended.
Also, be respectful of others property, family, and pets.
Last of all, this is a game of respect and honor. The rules don't contain everything that could happen in the game. Use your judgement. This is a game of fun.
