Lab Ray, Good or Evil?

........Doesetsu the Yellow Elephante contacted us recently begging us to write an article about the secret Lab Ray. Apparently any owner, once they find the Secret Lab Ray, can experiment on there pet. “Just point and shoot.” Says Doesetsu. “No matter how much I plead and beg him not to, everyday Zap! I’ve lost and gained levels, strength, defense, and speed. I’ve been more types of species than I can count, only last week I was a Buzz, a few days before that a Starry Zafara. I could sit here and list what I’ve been all day. Oh, and its changed me from a boy to a girl and back again more than once!” We at the Current went to interview the Scientist who runs the Laboratory but all he would comment on was “I’ve posted a message warning about the consequences of using my “not quite finished” lab ray. I am not responsible if an owner is willing to take that risk with his or her pet.” We also interviewed the owner of Doesetsu. “I don’t see what the big deal is.” He said. “The ray itself isn’t painful, just a little Zap! and he always seems to enjoy being whatever species he has become. “But I like being a Zafara, but I like being a Mynci, but I like being a Nimmo.” ect. Not to mention the fact that he is my most powerful pet, without any training I might add. If you ask me I’d tell you that everyone should find the lab ray, your pet may complain a little, but they’ll love you in the long run.
Pirate Facts!

........Each pirate received an equal share of the booty, with a double share going to the captain, the pilot, the carpenter, the cook, and a share set aside for the maintenance of the ship. Most pirates were paid four times as much as they had ever received as merchant or naval men. However, if no plunder was captured, no one would be paid. Articles of clothing were acquired from plundering ships. Pirates often wore some very odd costumes because of this. But no pirate would be caught wearing "slops" – the striped shirt worn by British sailors. In many cases, pirates wouldn’t have to fire a shot. The mere approach of a pirate ship would cause most colonial captains to surrender. Then the captured captain would try to make some sort of deal that would result in the least amount of death and injuries. This often worked — but not always! There were many pirates–Blackbeard for one–who engaged in ruthless, bloody brigandage for the sheer sport of it.
