Our Goal

Our chapter, as part of the California Junior Classical League, operates along the objectives of that organization, which is stated in Article II of the Constitution as "to promote a more thorough knowledge of Classical life, history, and literature; to impart a better understanding of the practical and cultural value of the Classics; to interest other students in the Classical languages, literature, government, laws, and arts .... and to always strive to promote friendship and fellowship among students of the Classics."

Chapter Profile

Our chapter is based in the highly prestigious Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, which is located in Southern California at the southwestern tip of Los Angeles County.

Our chapter has consistently performed well in CJCL conventions, winning the large school sweepstakes for the past 12 years.

Moreover, we have hosted the CJCL convention in 1994, and will again in 2002.
