The Minimum System Required to Save One's Soul
If you are extremely disturbed and agitated read this page immediately......
Note the following points
1. Remember that the Heart of God is love and He loves you more than you love yourself.
2. It is not God that is the cause of your suffering but the contrast of your sin.
3. God is never ready to condemn, that happens naturally by your transgression of the law
4. God does everything in his power to save you while also respecting your free will.
5. The more you sin the more power the Devil has over you.
6. Remember God is all powerful and cannot be conquered by anyone.
7. You cannot be saved if you hate or spite Mary the Mother of God.
8. You cannot be saved if you are Macho and proud - be humble and childlike.
Do not fool yourself into believing that you or some organization that you have joined can conquer God, much less destroy him. If all the men since the beginning of the world till the last judgment were against God, His kingdom would still advance. Do not follow other bold and arrogant blind men like yourself both of you will fall into the pit of Hell. Get it clear in your mind that all Anti-Christ organizations have Satan at their heart and Satan himself is a prisoner and can do only what God allows him to do.
Do not modify the truth to fit yourself, Modify yourself to fit the truth.
To save your soul you have to do a few simple things.....
1. Wash your souls clean in confession
There is nothing on the face of the earth that can clean your soul except confession to a Catholic priest. There are two types of confession
a) A confession in which all the sins are revealed from birth till today and
b) Confessions that are made regularly every week or month
Confession is the bath of the soul. Imagine then someone who hasn't had a bath for years - 20, 40, 60 years he would stink like a rotten putrid carcass, would anyone allow this person to come for his wedding bash? Mother Theresa was on the inside what Lady Diana was on the outside.
Before Confession.
Before confession it is necessary to reflect or meditate on the sins that one has committed, call them to mind and feel sorry for them. Note that a man can confess his sin without feeling sorry for them and even while confessing might actually want to commit them again. This is desecration of the Sacrament of Confession and God might even uphold forgiveness as the ultimate authority. Remember that we are driven to Confession by the love of God and not by our own fallen nature.
Choose a quite spot that is solitary like a hill or a meadow or a sea side, if that is not possible choose some place like a Church then close the eyes and meditate from the day you were born till today all the sins you have committed and transgressed. Ask a loved one or somebody else that you trust (very uncommon nowadays) to vehemently criticize you.. (oh! what will the psychologists say?) . You must know the 10 Commandments before you begin because in the absence of an absolute standard there is no sin and everything is condoned. Sin is a transgression of the law and that law is the Ten Commandments.
When you have called to mind all your sins and felt horrible and sorry and truly repentant, then make your way to the confessional. Recalling one's sins can take from a few minutes to days. Solemnly approach the confessional, kneel down and make the sign of the Cross. A Confession must never ever be made sitting or standing only kneeling this is sign of true contrition.
Remember that the priest in confession is no longer a mere human being but an extension of Heaven. To begin the confession say "Bless me father for I have sinned and for those things that I have done and failed to do". then the time since you made your last confession - "it has been two weeks since I made my last confession" or "Father I feel ashamed to say that I have never made my confession in my entire life but God has lead me sweetly here today......"
Then begin the narration of your life, "I was born in ............in 19.... and I come from a ............"
Never do these things in confession
THERE IS NO SIN ON EARTH THAT I CANNOT FORGIVE; EVEN THE GREATEST SINNER CAN CHANGE TO BECOME THE GREATEST SAINT. THEREFORE, I CALL YOU NOW; DO NOT TURN AWAY FROM ME. NOW IS THE HOUR OF YOUR CONVERSION. COME BEFORE I STRIKE THE WORLD, FOR THEN MY MERCY WILL TURN TO JUSTICE - Jesus to The Little Pebble.
1. Do not ever try to justify yourself by saying " I did this because ...." and "I was forced to do that because there was no other way out.. etc."
2. Do not lie or distort facts
3. You are here to confess your sins not other's sins.
4. Do not manipulate the priest
5. Do not narrate sins in stark detail
6. Do not hide facts
7. Do not conceal seemingly small sins.
8. God and even the Devil already know your sins even those you have forgotten.
When your confession is over tell the priest that it is over by saying "...for all these sins and those that I cannot recall to mind I ask the Lord almighty to forgive me" then keep silent. The priest will then direct, console and strengthen you he will then tell you to say the Act of Contrition - this you must know by heart. Say it slowly and meaningfully. At the end the priest will raise his hand... this is the climax. The priest can be in any state of mind, he can be a criminal, a crook an adulterer but the power vested in him is so great that once he raises his hand in absolution your sins are forgiven and wiped out.
You may believe that you are the same person as before at least judging by physical terms But what you have not seen is that a tremendous change has undergone in the supernatural world. The devil and all his demons have no more power over you and they know not your sins. The greatest things however is that you have been snatched from the jaws of Hell and are now headed for Heaven. You are at peace with God and all that is good. Thus will you remain until you get tarnished with the worries and sins of the world again. But confess again for for this very reason was the Sacrament of Confession created. There is no happier person than Jesus when you confess your sin and come back to Him Amen.
What is Mortal Sin?
Mortal means death and there are some sins which lead to death or Eternal Damnation they are Fornication, Adultery, Murder (specially that of the unborn) Sacrilege, Blasphemy, Apostasy and a few others. These cover Satanism, Atheism, Freemasonry, Communism, Abortion, Euthanasia, Death-Sentence, Homosexuality, Lesbianism, Bestiality, Co-habitation, Creationism etc.
Can anyone be forgiven?
Yes! provided the sorrow and contrition for the sin is commensurate with the sin. for e.g. you cannot have killed ten people and go to confession with the remorse of a small boy that has stolen an apple.
Can one be justified by saying the Rosary alone?
Maybe, it would be more like going to Canada from California on a cycle rather than a plane. Instead of saying hundreds of Rosaries to justify yourself it would be better to make one heartfelt confession.
What is restitution, penance and atonement?
When one has committed a sin for whatever reason he has to make good the sin or pay for it somehow. This is normally done by practicing the opposite virtue. eg. If one is a thief and has stolen he should make restitution for it by donating his own goods to the poor.
Is there any other means more powerful than the Confession?
There are some other means approved by the Church which incorporate confession. they are : 1. Feast of Divine Mercy which starts on Good Friday till the next Sunday after Easter. To follow this one has to make a confession and say the Novena everyday at 3:00 PM in the afternoon, then hear mass and receive communion on the last day of the novena. 2. The second powerful prayer is the Prayer of the wounds of Jesus Christ revealed to St. Bridget of Sweden.
What is despair?
When a soul has sinned exceeding he thinks that God cannot forgive him not knowing that the mercy of God is greater than his sin. Despair takes the place of hope in God and the soul begins to oscillate, moving back and forth between Hope in the love of God and extreme hate of himself and the cognizance of his sin and wants to be precipitated into the dark recesses of Hell to avoid the face of the one whom he has sinned against. This is accentuated by the sight of hideous figures that have come to claim the soul of the one that had served them. This is why once should confess well before he on his death bed. It matters not what one believes when he is on earth - at death, reality takes over irrespective of beliefs.
What must one do to overcome despair at the last instant?
One can ask for a Scapular or tell others to recite the Rosary. Hold a crucifix or a statue of the Blessed Virgin firmly in the hand. Pray to St. Joseph a specialist at despair in last moments. Continuously implore the Blessed Virgin and Jesus to save one's soul. Ask for a priest to confess one's sins.
What happens if a sin is re-confessed?
Dark, evil sins must be confessed several times to make a true confession. It is a good thing to confess the same sin many times, though not venial sins.
The other things needed to save your soul is to try as far as possible to maintain your State-of-Grace which you have acquired after confession this is made possible by avoiding the occasion of sin rather than the sin itself. Reciting the rosary at least once a day and maintaining a quite and composed lifestyle. Saying many prayers at various times in the day is a sure means of fighting evil. Avoid nocturnal lifestyles and visiting shortcuts to hell like discos and bars. Also avoid television and magazines. One can readily see the change after a long period spent in grace. If one to be so unfortunate as to fall out of grace by passion or some other means then a confession must be immediately made. You can go to Confession seven times seventy but on the other hand this does not give us a license to sin and definitely never justifies sin.
