...appearing on "The Nanny" CBS series, the same station to broadcast the pageant... little did she know she would make it big. Brook's only words were, "You mean other than handsome men?" when asked "what interests her". And then the guy looks at her sash and continues, "Miss USA?" All the other contestants were fake.

Brook being announced Miss USA 1997... "Okay, ladies this is the moment, take a deep breath. The first runner up is: Miss Idaho, Brandi Sherwood. That means you are the new Miss USA, Miss Hawaii. You are the new Miss USA!" By the way, Brandi was Miss Teen USA 1989.

Brandi says, "You can look at someone to a point but it's something that comes from inside. The children that meet with this woman, that's the woman they love." Well anyways, way to go Brook, and Brandi!

...Funny and humorous Brook stole away the interview and question rounds. She would eat everything in the world if she could be outrageous for one day. It's not her joke but she answered to that question. She didn't even think she would win after saying that. But one of the judges later on told her.

Brook is also of multi / many nationalities including Korean, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Chinese and a few more, to which some fans wowed at. I'm not sure if Brook would have impressed me at Miss Universe in comparison to Miss USA if I didn't see her at Miss USA already. but she really did well with the celebrity judges at the internationals. And none of the judges gave her marks below 9.00 except for the Venezuelan judge who's a fashion designer, voting for the Venezuelan delegate.

Who will it be? Brook or Brandi? clasping, clenching... their hands... until they find out. Yes they have chosen and she's the one. But when Brook won Miss Universe, Brandi Sherwood took over.

...Brook's scores were 9.51 (1st) for Interview, 9.33 (7th) in swimsuit, 9.47 (4th in gown). She finished sixth in the top 10. She got the second loudest cheers in the final judging behind the gracious Brandi Sherwood.

...Miss Universe 1997 evening gown competition. How could Brook get a high score in that gown? Well she's my favorite and it had royal blue anyway. ...alright you can rub her hand and wish for to win. Nah, but Brook does think flamingo dancing Miss Venezuela was going to win and make a great Miss Universe. Aww, but too bad Miss Venezuela may not really know English well, at least how to reply back when Brook told her she'll make a great Miss U.

...It's been said that Brook Lee has poise or "a lot of poise". Just the September before she won, one of my favorite Miss Americas, Tara Dawn Holland would prove herself to be. Good "why thank you... well actually... I'm shopping? ... alright! ... not just be their crutch" interview. She's quite fiesty but not negatively to say, with big side to side waves.
