The Call

Down through the ages

The call resounds

It echoes through the canyons

It rides the waves of the seas

It climbs the highest peaks

And reaches the deepest valleys

It swiftly flies on wings of eagles

And gently floats on the morning breeze

It reveals itself in the sunset

And resounds in the human soul

The call comes to save

To bring restoration

And cleansing of the heart

It brings new hope

And heavenly promises of life eternal

It is relentless in seeking

Searching and cleansing

Of all who will answer the call

The call comes from within

And from the farthest flung galaxy

It speaks of rebirth

Of life begun anew

It resounds of God’s glory

Of holiness and righteousness

Its promises are eternal

Life giving and love never ending

From whence does this call come?

It comes from the heart of the Creator

Reaching out to all creation

It came to the earth

In the form of a sinless man

A life so pure, humble, and holy

Given to shed the blood of sacrifice

Cleansing mankind of sin

It came to open the doors of heaven

To all who will humbly respond

To the call of the Lord Jesus Christ

The call is calling out to you

Fervently, urgently, beseechingly

Lovingly, kindly, humbly

Reaching out to you…

Won’t you answer

The call?
