REVIEWS

Only one, and geared more toward a "this film is only for kids" point of veiw at that:(
Aw well, worth a look, and the only reveiw out there.

“Michael and Florence weave their love among the flowers and music.
A film that is pretty, but hard for the youngsters to really keep an interest in. “

---- Anime for Kids

Well, that’s because it wasn’t meant for really really young children Mr. Reveiwer:P
(Really young American kids anyway, but I think we 80's kids were kind of special)
If you have a little one that likes romance, classic music,
flowers, can handle a sad ending, and can sit though Fantastia however it would be great for them.

KNOCK-OFFS

No, I don't mean that some company really copied A Journey Through Fairyland, but
there ARE a few movies I think are too alike AJTF to not have been inspired by it..
Fern Gully-The Last Rainforest:
Once upon a time there was a fairy.
Now this fairy lived in a magical place that was the last (only) of it's kind left.
It is in danger of being destroyed when she meets and falls in love with a human
he gets turned her size and the two spend the night in a flower bud.
At the end they must battle a BIG *HUGE* towering monster made of goo...
Sound like any story you know?:)

Little known fact:
A Journey Through Fairyland DID win an award,
the Award of Excellence from the Film Advisory Board.
