May 2-3, 2003 Community College League of California~Annual Trustees Conference~ Flexing Our Power...For Students and Commuunities ~ San Francisco, California: San Francisco Airport Marriott:

Community colleges are facing some of the most difficult challenges in recent memory. Limited resources and massive demand may keep us from serving our students and communities. The 2003 Trustee Conference will provide participants with opportunities to strengthen their knowledge and skills and take the appropriate action. Your participation in this substantive and inspiring conference will benefit your district and you.
**Pre-Conference Workshop will be held May 1, 2003, 2:30-5-00 p.m.~Flexing Our Power through Effective Advocacy.~ This workshop will cover advocacy resources, opportunities, strategies and skills, including talking to the media. Also an update on the legislative agendas of the League and the Board of Governors will be given out.

Special Posting: Budget Crisis Riverside Community College District is sponsoring a rally on the Riverside City Campus. The college is located at 4800 Magnolia Ave. Riverside, CA 92506. After the rally there will be a peaceful march to the Governor's Riverside district office. They will be having a host of speakers. This will be a conference you will not want to miss.This conference will feature national, state and local participants who will address critical issues facing the pacific, western and central reigons and their challenges for the trustees and governing boards in the community colleges.Within the conference there will be program highlights and special meetings, round tables and college tours. Also the San Francsico Bay Area Community College Districts will open up its gates to us through entertainment, networking and fun. Allowing us to renew friendships and create new ones.
