In Germany, the red-yellow phase is only one second long, for many traffic signal lights. Some use a two-second phase, but not many. Some signals have backplates with a white stripe, similar to most of those in Switzerland, but others mainly don't.

In Nürnberg / Nuremberg, all signals use two seconds for red-yellow. Some heads have LED.
Overhead signal heads in Nuremberg have a short vertical pipe from the mast.
