Perfect love is rare indeed-
for to be a lover will require
that you continually have the
subtlety of the very wise,
the flexibilty of the child,
the sensitivity of the artist,
the understanding of the philosopher,
the acceptance of the saint,
the tolerance of the scholar and
the fortitude of the certain.
"There is no difficulty that
enough love will not conquer ;
no disease that enough love will
no door that enough love will not open;
no gulf that enough love will not bridge ;
no wall that enough love will not throw down;
no sin that enough love will not redeem....
it makes no difference how
deeply seated maybe the trouble ;
how hopless the outlook;
how muddled the tangle;
how great the mistake.
A sufficient realization of
love will dissolve it all...
If only you could love enough
you would be the happiest and
most powerful being in the world. . . .
And now here is my secret, a very simple secret;
it is only with the heart that
one can see rightly,
what is essential is invisible to the eye.
