2000-2001 Canoga Park High School General Information/History

[Canoga Park]

Caonga Park High was built in 1914. It was known as the Owensmouth School. It was later transform to Canoga Park Elementary school. Then Finally became one of the first high schools in California and the Los Angeles Unified school District. This school's landmark is the Auditorum, were it was built by FDR's people during the Great Depression. It stills stand after major repairs went to the building and school from several large earthquakes during th last ten years. Canoga Park High school is the SAFEST High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The School offers a strong magnet program specializing in Environmental and Agriculture science. It also has 16 different Advanced Placement classes, and it is the smallest high school in the San Fernando Valley.
