Hello, I am Michael Eckhardt.
For decades I have studied ancient and revealed texts as well as instructional texts for ceremonial rites and numerous psychological texts (Jung being one of my favorites.) The Bible at five and Freud at ten, I guess you could say I had an early start.
A large part of these practices, and even life itself, is the collecting and the unifying of archetypes (transcendent, living symbols,-Carl Jung) and their meanings. Religion believes in a first-source of meaning: a being that created us with love and the promise of eternal life. Divinity supposes a refinement and supremacy infinitely beyond the summation of all imaginable gods, an absolute God.
I believe in God.
I believe that what is between God and I is real, and will last forever, it is this and only this that I believe is my soul. God is the only stable-constant that I have found. He has never let me down. I can rest in his love and my soul is refreshed. I do not worry that Our Father's love will go away, nor that He might ask more of me than I can handle. He asks only for my growing love and trust.
The Urantia Book (a revelation from modern times) has helped me to believe in God and Jesus. It made perfect sense. Were it not for this book I may not believe in God today. But seriously, as the translations of the Bible get better, the Urantia Book isn't solving many mysteries. Like the prophets and the apostles and the Lord himself never tired of saying, "I shouldn't have to be telling you this again, read the scriptures!"
