I'll paint my mood in shades of blue
Paint my soul to be with you
I'll sketch your lips in shaded tones
Draw your mouth to match my own
I'll draw your arms around my waist
And then all doubt I shall erase
I'll paint the rain that softly lands
On the crescents of your hands
I'll trace a hand to wipe your tears
A calming look to quell your fears
A silhouette of dark and light
While we hold each other tight
I'll paint a sun to warm your heart
Swearing that we'll never part
I'll paint the stars in the evening sky
Draw their light into your eyes
I'll draw a striking touch of grace
That shows the gentleness of your face
I'll trace your hand to hold in mine
A touching kiss to mark the time
I'll draw the years all passing by
So much o learn, so much to try
I'll paint the truth, show how I feel
Try to make you completely real
I'll use a brush so light and fine
To draw you close and make you mine
And with this ring our lives will start
In promise that we'll never part
I offer love you cannot buy
Devoted love until we die

I lay among a bed of dreams,
In happiness or so it seems.
For it's been long since life began,
And my search goes on to faraway lands.
What doesn't kill you makes you strong,
And strength grows wings to fly upon.
I fly on wings so white and pure,
For in my dreams I feel secure.
Lines of songs and verses in rhyme,
Will heal the wounds of bitter time.
No longer will I lie in blue
And put on a smile to hide the gloom.
Tender souls that slip from tears,
Can strengthen hope through many years.
And with new strength I'll rise above,
Heal my wounds and learn to love.

Forgive the sun who didn't shine
The sky had asked her in to dine
Forgive the stars that heard your wish
The moon prepared their favorite dish
Forgive the rain for its attack
The clouds have tears they can't hold back
Don't hate the birds 'cause they are free
Don't envy all the things they see
Don't block the wind, but hear its cry
Or else that wind may pass you by
Forgive the storm it means no harm
Could not resist to show its charm
Forgive the earth that never turns
Don't' hate the sun, because too much burns
Life intends to not cause pain
The flowers bloom from all the rain
The storm will come and it will pass
The sun that shines, it grows the grass
The wind it cannot help but cry
The stars at night light up the sky
Forgive the world in which we live
We'll all find peace if we forgive

China was fourteen; she gave what she got.
She had many friends, who loved her a lot.
She loved them back, too, and would always be there,
But at prettier girls, she could not help but stare.
You must understand, that this group was a sight,
With their Cover Girl masks, and their shirts way too tight.
They guys hung around them, as thought in a trance,
They were always the first ones who were asked to dance.
They seemed so secure, knowing just what to say.
And they said what they said in the coolest of ways
They never were seen without smiles on their faces.
Their clothes were real tight in all the right places.
You can see what I mean, when I say they were cool.
They were by far the sexiest girls in the school.
So China dreamed on, by day and by night,
Wishing her shirts would fit her as tight.
She wondered what contest she would have to win.
For, she'd give up the world and life to fit in.
She kept it a secret, hoping nobody knew,
But her friends caught on fast, and they found it was true.
They tried to warn her of their pretentious way.
But China grew more and more stubborn each day.
As cool as they were, and as hot as their show,
They struggled in school and their grades were quite low.
The group of girls smoked, and were known to drink beer,
But this was not stuff China wanted to hear.
So China tried to hard to fit in with the clique,
She giggled at jokes that she knew were just sick.
She gave her attention to these cool girls alone,
She dressed just like the, in a style not her own.
China's old friends feared her drifting away,
They were losing her slowly, and didn't know what to say.
They told China the truth, that the group was all fake.
But their words of advice, China just wouldn't take.
Why aren't they happy for me? China thought,
I don't act like myself, but now look where I've got.
She thought her old friends were jealous and tart,
She was truthfully happy, deep down in her heart.
China laughed at her old friends, along with her new,
They made fun of so many and smiled at so few.
China's new friends were cool; she was in with the clan,
She was treated like they were, she was happy again.
China's old group of friends sadly melted away,
They left china alone, but watched close every day.
They longed for her friendship, the warmth in her smile.
And hoped she'd miss them, and come back in a while.
But the jokes keep on coming, so the group with a sigh,
Turn their backs on harsh China, and walked silently by.
The pain was too deep and the torture too hard,
Her old friend's poor hears had been torn out and scarred.
All this did happen, the cool did their thing,
The giggled and gossiped and made actions sting.
They mutated China, the best that they could
And taught her to be like a glamour girl should.
China went to parties; she got into fights,
She became really cool, but during the night,
She tried to discover just what was the scoop,
Why wasn't she content in her newly found group?
Then one day it hit her came into her head,
That the answer was one that she truly did dread.
She had run ahead quickly and back round the bends,
she had left her companions; had ditched her true friends.
China realized her error, "This group's not a sight,
With their makeup done perfect and hair fixed just right.
That's not what they look like, its a lie what you see,
It's the Maybelline models they wish they could be."
Then early one night, around seven o'clock,
A girl opened her door to the sound of a knock,
Out in the cold, standing there in the rain,
Stood teary-eyed China, her old self again.
Neither one spoke, as she ushered her in,
The girl knew from experience, where china had been.
She had also once felt that those girls were the best,
But those long-ago thoughts, she had put down to rest.
The girls sat up talking for a good length of time,
China knew in her heart that she would be just fine.
She couldn't believe just how much she'd been blessed
, That her loving dear friends would forgive her like this.
This tale ends happy, but not all stories will,
Some friends aren't so forgiving; they go in for the kill.
China was lucky, but you may not be,
So choose your friends wisely, and help others see.
It's to teach of the truth, that those girls tried to hide,
You will always be cool if it comes from inside.

Sometimes decisions seem so touch.
Sometimes the best just isn't enough.
Sometimes the sky gets cold and gray.
Sometimes hearts ache in the worst way.
Sometimes people can be so cruel.
Sometimes dreams never do come true.
But sometimes smiles burst like sunlight.
Sometimes life just seems so right.
Sometimes the hope that was always there
Removes the feeling of dark despair.
And sometimes life needs no change.
It's perfectly perfect and perfectly strange.

Underneath the shimmering stars,
Over the never-ending rainbow,
Through the silver lining of the clouds,
Outside the harsh, uncaring world.
Aboard a starship fantasy and beyond the fearsome outer realm.
During an idealistic dream,
Alongside a devoted companion,
Is where you experience imagination.

Unpredictable in spirit,
Pure in essence,
Exquisite in delicacy,
Hiding in emotions.
Gentle to touch,
Engaging to hear,
Scented to perfection.
Pleasing everyone else,
Avoiding mixed passions,
Causing countless regrets.
Needing kind assurance,
Wanting to believe it's worthy,
Living beyond potential.
Chosen from the garden of life,
Creating joy for others,
One day blooming into something special.

I am the sun, yet I am the moon;
shining happiness on others,
Yet living in darkness.
I am a fish, yet I am a bird;
Isolated from the rest
Of this great world,
Yet free to explore it.
I am fire, yet I am ice;
Living in a cold world
While warming hearts.
I am hope, yet I am despair;
Optimistic about the future,
Yet pessimistic about the present.
I am strong, yet I am weak;
Having my own opinions,
Yet fearing to express.
I am a teenager,
Living the best years of my life.

As the wind blows on,
The times flies by.
Things do change
And friendships do die.
Learning from mistakes,
We continue to grow.
Now facing the truth,
We try to let go.
Living without the friend
and with the shame.
But the pain remains,
The tears fall forth,
Now moving on
For all it's worth.
From losing a friend,
We've gain in return-
Strength and wisdom,
And from that we learn.

Blurry but clear,
Colorful but gray,
Wonderful yet dreary,
In an odd sort of way.
Words were spoken,
Hearts are broken,
Fantasies of you,
Wishing to come true.
Erasing the worries,
Freeing the mind,
Soaring in a world
That's not of our kind.
Magical and amazing,
Lands as vast as the skies,
Yet somehow it all disappears
When you blink your eyes.

Never say I love you,
If you really don’t care.
Never talk about feelings,
If they aren’t really there.
Never hold my hand,
If your going to break my heart.
Never say your going to,
If you don’t plan to start.
Never look into my eyes,
If all you do is lie.
Never say hello,
If you really mean good-bye.
If you really mean forever,
Then say you will try.
Never say forever,
because forever makes me cry.

The nite was dreary as the rain came down.
she said, "let`s go for a ride away from town."
all thru the ride, she had nothing to say.
it was almost as if something stood in her way.
then suddenly it came, out of the blue.
"my parents said i have to break up with you."
"i`m sorry," she said, "i can`t pretend."
"my parents said our love must end."
she took off his ring as tears came from his eyes
at the same time, the fear of losing her began to rise.
with tears threatening to fall, he held them back.
as he unconsciously parked the car on a railroad track.
he wrote something on a piece of paper
he held her hand and said, "read it later."
he always wished they would never part.
he said in a sad voice, "you just broke my heart."
she opened the door & walked out into the rain
thats when she saw the lights of the train.
realizing too late what she had sighted,
with the blink of an eye, metal collided
all she could remember was blood running red,
and someone saying, "i`m sorry, he`s dead."
the ambulance sounded like an agony cry,
then she read the paper, and it said ...
i`d die without you

Could you describe the sky
to a person without sight,
the gift of shades and shadows
you receive each day and night?

Could you depict the freedom
of walking down the street
to a person who has never
had the use of their two feet?

Could you express the comfort
of sleeping in a bed
to someone who does not have
a place to lay their head?

Could you explain the pleasure
of a satisfying meal
to a child who has never known
the fullness that you feel?

Could you, in all honesty,
with good and truthful measure,
say that you are thankful
and consider life a treasure?

Could you?

"What Matters to Me"
In you I find warmth and love
Something conceived by the skies above
Inside I love you with all my heart
Whatever the circumstances we'll never be apart
The time I think about you is more than enough
That just goes to show that I miss you so much
How good I do feel when I am with you
You have proven to me that love is true
Beauty is something only the eye can see
What you hold in your heart is what really matters to me
-Brian L.

My eyes are shut, my tears still flow
My arms are empty, but I can’t let go
Whenever I was afraid, you’ve always been there
But now I’m all alone caused you disappeared
My smile has faded, my laughter has died
I only wish we never said goodbye
My arms are empty for you’re not there
It’s hard to believe that you’ll never be near...
-Shawnie

Forever one will be,
there for you or me.
But what happens when one day,
They can't come out and play?
If one day they are hurt,
Or get in trouble some way...
Will you stand beside them,
Or will you run away?
If you are ever hurt,
Or get punished in some way...
I will stand beside you
And never run away.
-Joy Li

A soft wind blowing across the infinate leaves,
standing upon a branch. A ripple in a pond,
as a leaf has lost it's grip and gently flies
onto the wet surface. A few small waves, what
is so magnificent, and yet can be so deadly.
A wonder of nature that it seems. Or is it
only man that can make equal shapes?
Roses upon a stem once which it was borned.
Petals of brilliance, of such aroma that
surronds thee. Around all of thee to be able
to see and understand. Awareness should be
around, aware of things, of everything.
Everything that seems is always not what it
should be. Or that it quite really is. Look
beyond the surfaces of light, and into the
mind to suppose what it shall is. In what
past it was, and what it will be able to become.
-Anthony
