During
W.W.II Duct tape was created, since then it has been used on over 1,000
historic objects large and small.
items
such as; the spaceship Columbia, the London Bridge, and W.W.II fighters,
have benefited from the genius invention of Duct tape
.
We
are currently in the process of developing a more complete history, that

HISTORY
OF DUCTOPIA ! !
You probably want to know how
this wacky idea was even thought of... here is your answer! It
started on a rainy day while sitting in school being extremely bored, my
eyes were wandering around the classroom, and my attention was caught by
a shiny roll of Duct Tape.
I obtained the roll while my teacher wasn't looking, just for entertainment
purposes! (yeah right) I soon began decorating my binder with a unique
silver coating like no one else's, but that was short lived when I soon
ran out of binder space to tape over. My mind began to ponder "what else
can I do with this awesome product in my hands?" Well my mind soon thought
of a idea, "what about a ring!" It took only a matter of seconds to create,
and within minutes I began an literally "under the table" marketing system
to the students in my class. My little noggin began thinking of even more
things I could be creating with duct tape, and then I got the idea of a
100% duct tape wallet, then a purse, a hat, and a three piece suit. I was
so excited about my ideas I had to restrain myself from being over joyous,
since I was still physically in school.
Creating this stuff would be a little difficult for me alone to create.
So, I asked one of my friends to help me. (sticky-boy-wonder) He is very
talented, and creative...his brain just thinks of weird (and awesome) ideas
constantly. The mastermind partner began to work and within hours he had
figured out a pattern for wallets, but it didn't stop there, he went on
to design the purse, hat, and many other products we make. I was there
basically for moral support and to lend advice.
On February 23rd Duct Tape consumed our brains, it was all we could think
about, but all this fun was shattered when we ran out of duct tape and
money. It was then when one of my other friends gave us the idea to sell
our stuff, both sticky-boy-wonder and I thought this was was a bad idea,
but we decided to give it a try since we had nothing to lose. We borrowed
about $30.00 to buy duct tape, then we worked on improving our products
and then came the day of our first sale, the sale the proved we had just
embarked on the best crazy idea ever.
That was a run down of how Ductopia came into existence, and the history
of our first sale! As Paul Harvey would say "And now you know, the rest
of the story." So now you have filled your brain with a little more useless
knoweledge...but good knowledge about the history of Ductopia!
