Vampiric Disciplines
Disciplines are special vampire powers. Like in the books you read, Dracula could control people's minds...kinda like that. Only these have special names.
All clans start out with three set disciplines (except Gargoyles, who have four). These are the easiest to learn. All other disciplines are out of clan disciplines. Some out of clan disciplines are relatively easy to learn, like Auspex and Fortitude, because many clans have them as in-clan disciplines. Others are much harder to learn because they are something of a clan secret (i.e. Chimerstry and Vicissitude.) Some clans will react harshly to outsiders who seem to have knowledge of a clan discipline. (see: Tremere, thaumaturgy, relationships with Assamites, Setites and Tzimisce.) If the discipline has a clan name in parentheses next to it, that means it is sort of a clan/bloodline secret, and you wouldn't know it unless you were a member of that clan. Or you had a really good excuse, like you were pretending to be a member of that clan and you had conned some idiot into teaching you the discipline.
NOTE: some games will disallow the use of many of these disciplines. It is always a good idea to ask if it's okay before you build a character with a powerful and unusual discipline.
The disciplines of Thaumaturgy (including Koldunic Sorcery) and Necromancy are divided up into different paths
